in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

because And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he

die; {because} he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD
thy

God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house
of

bondage.

because And the swine, {because} it divideth the hoof,

yet cheweth not the cud, it [is] unclean unto you: ye shall not
eat

of their flesh, nor touch their dead carcase.

because And the Levite, ({because} he hath no part
nor

inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and

the widow, which [are] within thy gates, shall come, and shall
eat

and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee

in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

because And this [is] the manner of the release: Every

creditor that lendeth [ought] unto his neighbour shall release
[it];

he shall not exact [it] of his neighbour, or of his brother;

{because} it is called the LORD'S release.

because Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart

shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: {because} that
for

this thing the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thy works,
and

in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.

because And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will
not

go away from thee; because he loveth thee and thine house,
{because}

he is well with thee;

because And it shall be, if he say unto thee, I will
not

go away from thee; {because} he loveth thee and thine house,
because

he is well with thee;

because Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast
unto

the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose:
{because}

the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in
all

the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt sure

ly rejoice.

because For all that do these things [are] an

abomination unto the LORD: and {because} of these abominations
the

LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.

because Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the
slayer,

while his heart is hot, and overtake him, {because} the way is
long,

and slay him; whereas he [was] not worthy of death, inasmuch as
he

hated him not in time past.

because And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye

approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your

hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye
terrified

{because} of them;

because And it shall be, if thou have no delight in
her,

then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not
sell

her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her,

{because} thou hast humbled her.

because And they shall amerce him in an hundred

[shekels] of silver, and give [them] unto the father of the
damsel,

{because} he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of
Israel:

and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his d

ays.

because Then they shall bring out the damsel to the
door

of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her
with

stones that she die: {because} she hath wrought folly in Israel,
to

play the whore in her father's house: so shalt tho

u put evil away from among you.

because Then ye shall bring them both out unto the
gate

of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die;
the

damsel, {because} she cried not, [being] in the city; and the
man,

because he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so th

ou shalt put away evil from among you.

because Then ye shall bring them both out unto the
gate

of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die;
the

damsel, because she cried not, [being] in the city; and the man,

{because} he hath humbled his neighbour's wife: so th

ou shalt put away evil from among you.

because Then the man that lay with her shall give
unto

the damsel's father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be
his

wife; {because} he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all
his

days.

because {Because} they met you not with bread and with

water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because
they

hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of
Mesopotamia,

to curse thee.

because Because they met you not with bread and with

water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and {because}

they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of

Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

because Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not
hearken

unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a
blessing

unto thee, {because} the LORD thy God loved thee.

because Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he [is]
thy

brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; {because} thou wast a

stranger in his land.

because When a man hath taken a wife, and married her,

and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes,
{because}

he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a
bill

of divorcement, and give [it] in her hand, and send h

er out of his house.

because Cursed [be] he that lieth with his father's

wife; {because} he uncovereth his father's skirt. And all the
people

shall say, Amen.

because The LORD shall send upon thee cursing,
vexation,

and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do,

until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly;
{because} of

the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsa

ken me.

because Moreover all these curses shall come upon
thee,

and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed;

{because} thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy
God,

to keep his commandments and his statutes which he com

manded thee:

because {Because} thou servedst not the LORD thy God

with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of

all [things];

because So that he will not give to any of them of
the

flesh of his children whom he shall eat: {because} he hath
nothing

left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine

enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates.

because And ye shall be left few in number, whereas
ye

were as the stars of heaven for multitude; {because} thou
wouldest

not obey the voice of the LORD thy God.

because Then men shall say, {Because} they have
forsaken

the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with

them when he brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:

because Then my anger shall be kindled against them
in

that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from

them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles
shall

befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not

these evils come upon us, {because} our God [is] not among us?

because For I know that after my death ye will
utterly

corrupt [yourselves], and turn aside from the way which I have

commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days;

{because} ye will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke hi

m to anger through the work of your hands.

because {Because} I will publish the name of the LORD:

ascribe ye greatness unto our God.

because And when the LORD saw [it], he abhorred
[them],

{because} of the provoking of his sons, and of his daughters.

because For it [is] not a vain thing for you;
{because}

it [is] your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong [your]

days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

because Because ye trespassed against me among the

children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the

wilderness of Zin; {because} ye sanctified me not in the midst of

the children of Israel.

because {Because} ye trespassed against me among the

children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the

wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of
the

children of Israel.

because And he provided the first part for himself,

{because} there, [in] a portion of the lawgiver, [was he] seated;

and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the
justice of

the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.

because And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD

hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us,
and

that all the inhabitants of the land faint {because} of you.

because And as soon as we had heard [these things],
our

hearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any

man, {because} of you: for the LORD your God, he [is] God in
heaven

above, and in earth beneath.

because And they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD hath

delivered into our hands all the land; for even all the
inhabitants

of the country do faint {because} of us.

because And it came to pass, when all the kings of the

Amorites, which [were] on the side of Jordan westward, and all
the

kings of the Canaanites, which [were] by the sea, heard that the

LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the chi

ldren of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart
melted,

neither was there spirit in them any more, {because} of the
children

of Israel.

because For the children of Israel walked forty years
in

the wilderness, till all the people [that were] men of war, which

came out of Egypt, were consumed, {because} they obeyed not the

voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would

not show them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers
that

he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.

because And their children, [whom] he raised up in
their

stead, them Joshua circumcised: for they were uncircumcised,

{because} they had not circumcised them by the way.

because Now Jericho was straitly shut up {because} of
the

children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.

because And the city shall be accursed, [even] it, and

all that [are] therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall

live, she and all that [are] with her in the house, {because} she

hid the messengers that we sent.

because And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and
her

father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in
Israel

[even] unto this day; {because} she hid the messengers, which
Joshua

sent to spy out Jericho.

because Therefore the children of Israel could not
stand

before their enemies, [but] turned [their] backs before their

enemies, {because} they were accursed: neither will I be with you

any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

because And it shall be, [that] he that is taken with
the

accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath:

{because} he hath transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and
because

he hath wrought folly in Israel.

because And it shall be, [that] he that is taken with
the

accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath:

because he hath transgressed the covenant of the LORD, and
{because}

he hath wrought folly in Israel.

because And they said unto him, From a very far country

thy servants are come {because} of the name of the LORD thy God:
for

we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,

because And the children of Israel smote them not,

{because} the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by
the

LORD God of Israel. And all the congregation murmured against the

princes.

because This we will do to them; we will even let them

live, lest wrath be upon us, {because} of the oath which we sware

unto them.

because And they answered Joshua, and said, {Because}
it

was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God
commanded

his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all
the

inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore

we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done
this

thing.

because And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it

was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God
commanded

his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all
the

inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we

were sore afraid of our lives {because} of you, and have done
this

thing.

because That they feared greatly, {because} Gibeon
[was]

a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it [was]

greater than Ai, and all the men thereof [were] mighty.

because That they feared greatly, because Gibeon
[was] a

great city, as one of the royal cities, and {because} it [was]

greater than Ai, and all the men thereof [were] mighty.

because And all these kings and their land did Joshua

take at one time, {because} the LORD God of Israel fought for

Israel.

because And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid

{because} of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver
them

up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hock their horses, and
burn

their chariots with fire.

because And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely
the

land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance,
and

thy children's for ever, {because} thou hast wholly followed the

LORD my God.

because Hebron therefore became the inheritance of
Caleb

the son of Jephunneh the Kenezite unto this day, {because} that
he

wholly followed the LORD God of Israel.

because There was also a lot for the tribe of
Manasseh;

for he [was] the firstborn of Joseph; [to wit], for Machir the

firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead: {because} he was a
man

of war, therefore he had Gilead and Bashan.

because {Because} the daughters of Manasseh had an

inheritance among his sons: and the rest of Manasseh's sons had
the

land of Gilead.

because And if the avenger of blood pursue after him,

then they shall not deliver the slayer up into his hand;
{because}

he smote his neighbour unwittingly, and hated him not beforetime.

because And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest
said

unto the children of Reuben, and to the children of Gad, and to
the

children of Manasseh, This day we perceive that the LORD [is]
among

us, {because} ye have not committed this trespass a

gainst the LORD: now ye have delivered the children of Israel
out of

the hand of the LORD.

because And ye have seen all that the LORD your God
hath

done unto all these nations {because} of you; for the LORD your
God

[is] he that hath fought for you.

because And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out

[the inhabitants of] the mountain; but could not drive out the

inhabitants of the valley, {because} they had chariots of iron.

because And when the LORD raised them up judges, then
the

LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out of the hand of
their

enemies all the days of the judge: for it repented the LORD

{because} of their groanings by reason of them that oppre

ssed them and vexed them.

because And the anger of the LORD was hot against
Israel;

and he said, {Because} that this people hath transgressed my

covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened

unto my voice;

because And the children of Israel did evil again in
the

sight of the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of
Moab

against Israel, {because} they had done evil in the sight of the

LORD.

because Curse ye Meroz, said the angel of the LORD,
curse

ye bitterly the inhabitants thereof; {because} they came not to
the

help of the LORD, to the help of the LORD against the mighty.

because And the hand of Midian prevailed against
Israel:

[and] {because} of the Midianites the children of Israel made
them

the dens which [are] in the mountains, and caves, and strong
holds.

because And Israel was greatly impoverished {because}
of

the Midianites; and the children of Israel cried unto the LORD.

because And it came to pass, when the children of
Israel

cried unto the LORD {because} of the Midianites,

because And when Gideon perceived that he [was] an
angel

of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for {because} I have

seen an angel of the LORD face to face.

because Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and
did

as the LORD had said unto him: and [so] it was, {because} he
feared

his father's household, and the men of the city, that he could
not

do [it] by day, that he did [it] by night.

because Then the men of the city said unto Joash,
Bring

out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the
altar of

Baal, and {because} he hath cut down the grove that [was] by it.

because Then the men of the city said unto Joash,
Bring

out thy son, that he may die: {because} he hath cast down the
altar

of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that [was] by it.

because And Joash said unto all that stood against
him,

Will ye plead for Baal? will ye save him? he that will plead for

him, let him be put to death whilst [it is yet] morning: if he
[be]

a god, let him plead for himself, {because} [one] hath

cast down his altar.

because Therefore on that day he called him Jerubbaal,

saying, Let Baal plead against him, {because} he hath thrown down

his altar.

because And he said unto Jether his firstborn, Up,
[and]

slay them. But the youth drew not his sword: for he feared,

{because} he [was] yet a youth.

because And Gideon said unto them, I would desire a

request of you, that ye would give me every man the earrings of
his

prey. (For they had golden earrings, {because} they [were]

Ishmaelites.)

because And ye are risen up against my father's house

this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons,
upon

one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maidservant,
king

over the men of Shechem, {because} he [is] your broth

er;)

because And the children of Israel cried unto the
LORD,

saying, We have sinned against thee, both {because} we have
forsaken

our God, and also served Baalim.

because And the king of the children of Ammon
answered

unto the messengers of Jephthah, {Because} Israel took away my
land,

when they came up out of Egypt, from Arnon even unto Jabbok, and

unto Jordan: now therefore restore those [lands] again

peaceably.

because Then Jephthah gathered together all the men of

Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote

Ephraim, {because} they said, Ye Gileadites [are] fugitives of

Ephraim among the Ephraimites, [and] among the Manassites.

because And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall
surely

die, {because} we have seen God.

because And she wept before him the seven days, while

their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that
he

told her, {because} she lay sore upon him: and she told the
riddle

to the children of her people.

because Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this?

And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite,
{because}

he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the

Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fir

e.

because And [there was] no deliverer, {because} it
[was]

far from Zidon, and they had no business with [any] man; and it
was

in the valley that [lieth] by Bethrehob. And they built a city,
and

dwelt therein.

because So the children of Benjamin saw that they
were

smitten: for the men of Israel gave place to the Benjamites,

{because} they trusted unto the liers in wait which they had set

beside Gibeah.

because And the people repented them for Benjamin,

{because} that the LORD had made a breach in the tribes of
Israel.

because And it shall be, when their fathers or their

brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be

favourable unto them for our sakes: {because} we reserved not to

each man his wife in the war: for ye did not give unto them

at this time, [that] ye should be guilty.

because <1SA1 -6> And her adversary also provoked her sore, for
to

make her fret, {because} the LORD had shut up her womb.

because <1SA1 -20> Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was
come

about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called

his name Samuel, [saying], {Because} I have asked him of the
LORD.

because <1SA2 -1> And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart
rejoiceth in

the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged

over mine enemies; {because} I rejoice in thy salvation.

because <1SA2 -25> If one man sin against another, the judge
shall

judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall entreat
for

him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their

father, {because} the LORD would slay them.

because <1SA3 -13> For I have told him that I will judge his
house

for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; {because} his sons
made

themselves vile, and he restrained them not.

because <1SA4 -21> And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The

glory is departed from Israel: {because} the ark of God was
taken,

and because of her father in law and her husband.

because <1SA4 -21> And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The

glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken,
and

{because} of her father in law and her husband.

because <1SA6 -19> And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, {because}

they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the

people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people

lamented, because the LORD had smitten [many] of the people w

ith a great slaughter.

because <1SA6 -19> And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because
they

had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people

fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people
lamented,

{because} the LORD had smitten [many] of the people w

ith a great slaughter.

because <1SA8 -18> And ye shall cry out in that day {because} of

your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not
hear

you in that day.

because <1SA9 -13> As soon as ye be come into the city, ye shall

straightway find him, before he go up to the high place to eat:
for

the people will not eat until he come, {because} he doth bless
the

sacrifice; [and] afterwards they eat that be bidden. No

w therefore get you up; for about this time ye shall find him.

because <1SA9 -16> To morrow about this time I will send thee a
man

out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him [to be]

captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of
the

hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my peop

le, {because} their cry is come unto me.

because <1SA10 -1> Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured
[it]

upon his head, and kissed him, and said, [Is it] not {because}
the

LORD hath anointed thee [to be] captain over his inheritance?

because <1SA12 -10> And they cried unto the LORD, and said, We
have

sinned, {because} we have forsaken the LORD, and have served
Baalim

and Ashtaroth: but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies,

and we will serve thee.

because <1SA12 -22> For the LORD will not forsake his people for
his

great name's sake: {because} it hath pleased the LORD to make you

his people.

because <1SA13 -11> And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And
Saul

said, {Because} I saw that the people were scattered from me, and

[that] thou camest not within the days appointed, and [that] the

Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;

because <1SA13 -14> But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the
LORD

hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath

commanded him [to be] captain over his people, {because} thou
hast

not kept [that] which the LORD commanded thee.

because <1SA14 -29> Then said Jonathan, My father hath troubled
the

land: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have been enlightened,

{because} I tasted a little of this honey.

because <1SA15 -23> For rebellion [is as] the sin of witchcraft,
and

stubbornness [is as] iniquity and idolatry. {Because} thou hast

rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from

[being] king.

because <1SA15 -24> And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned:
for I

have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words:

{because} I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

because <1SA16 -7> But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his

countenance, or on the height of his stature; {because} I have

refused him: for [the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man
looketh

on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the hea

rt.

because <1SA17 -32> And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart
fail

{because} of him; thy servant will go and fight with this

Philistine.

because <1SA18 -3> Then Jonathan and David made a covenant,

{because} he loved him as his own soul.

because <1SA18 -12> And Saul was afraid of David, {because} the
LORD

was with him, and was departed from Saul.

because <1SA18 -16> But all Israel and Judah loved David,
{because}

he went out and came in before them.

because <1SA19 -4> And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his

father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his
servant,

against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and

{because} his works [have been] to thee-ward very good:

because <1SA19 -4> And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his

father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his
servant,

against David; {because} he hath not sinned against thee, and

because his works [have been] to thee-ward very good:

because <1SA20 -17> And Jonathan caused David to swear again,

{because} he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own
soul.

because <1SA20 -18> Then Jonathan said to David, To morrow [is]
the

new moon: and thou shalt be missed, {because} thy seat will be

empty.

because <1SA20 -34> So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce

anger, and did eat no meat the second day of the month: for he
was

grieved for David, {because} his father had done him shame.

because <1SA21 -8> And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there
not

here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought
my

sword nor my weapons with me, {because} the king's business
required

haste.

because <1SA22 -17> And the king said unto the footmen that stood

about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; {because}
their

hand also [is] with David, and because they knew when he fled,
and

did not show it to me. But the servants of the king wou

ld not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.

because <1SA22 -17> And the king said unto the footmen that stood

about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their

hand also [is] with David, and {because} they knew when he fled,
and

did not show it to me. But the servants of the king wou

ld not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.

because <1SA24 -5> And it came to pass afterward, that David's
heart

smote him, {because} he had cut off Saul's skirt.

because <1SA25 -28> I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine

handmaid: for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house;

{because} my lord fighteth the battles of the LORD, and evil hath

not been found in thee [all] thy days.

because <1SA26 -12> So David took the spear and the cruse of
water

from Saul's bolster; and they gat them away, and no man saw [it],

nor knew [it], neither awaked: for they [were] all asleep;
{because}

a deep sleep from the LORD was fallen upon them.

because <1SA26 -16> This thing [is] not good that thou hast done.

[As] the LORD liveth, ye [are] worthy to die, {because} ye have
not

kept your master, the LORD'S anointed. And now see where the
king's

spear [is], and the cruse of water that [was] at his

bolster.

because <1SA26 -21> Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son

David: for I will no more do thee harm, {because} my soul was

precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool,
and

have erred exceedingly.

because <1SA28 -18> {Because} thou obeyedst not the voice of the

LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath

the LORD done this thing unto thee this day.

because <1SA28 -20> Then Saul fell straightway all along on the

earth, and was sore afraid, {because} of the words of Samuel: and

there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the
day,

nor all the night.

because <1SA30 -6> And David was greatly distressed; for the
people

spake of stoning him, {because} the soul of all the people was

grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David

encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

because <1SA30 -13> And David said unto him, To whom [belongest]

thou? and whence [art] thou? And he said, I [am] a young man of

Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, {because}

three days ago I fell sick.

because <1SA30 -16> And when he had brought him down, behold,
[they

were] spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and

dancing, {because} of all the great spoil that they had taken
out of

the land of the Philistines, and out of the land of J

udah.

because <1SA30 -22> Then answered all the wicked men and [men] of

Belial, of those that went with David, and said, {Because} they
went

not with us, we will not give them [ought] of the spoil that we
have

recovered, save to every man his wife and his child

ren, that they may lead [them] away, and depart.

because <2SA1 -9> He said unto me again, Stand, I pray thee, upon

me, and slay me: for anguish is come upon me, {because} my life
[is]

yet whole in me.

because <2SA1 -10> So I stood upon him, and slew him, {because} I

was sure that he could not live after that he was fallen: and I
took

the crown that [was] upon his head, and the bracelet that [was]
on

his arm, and have brought them hither unto my lord.

because <2SA1 -12> And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until

even, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of
the

LORD, and for the house of Israel; {because} they were fallen by
the

sword.

because <2SA2 -6> And now the LORD show kindness and truth unto
you:

and I also will requite you this kindness, {because} ye have done

this thing.

because <2SA3 -11> And he could not answer Abner a word again,

{because} he feared him.

because <2SA3 -30> So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner,

{because} he had slain their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the
battle.

because <2SA6 -8> And David was displeased, {because} the LORD
had

made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the name of the place

Perezuzzah to this day.

because <2SA6 -12> And it was told king David, saying, The LORD
hath

blessed the house of Obededom, and all that [pertaineth] unto
him,

{because} of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the
ark of

God from the house of Obededom into the city of Da

vid with gladness.

because <2SA8 -10> Then Toi sent Joram his son unto king David,
to

salute him, and to bless him, {because} he had fought against

Hadadezer, and smitten him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. And

[Joram] brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of go

ld, and vessels of brass:

because <2SA10 -5> When they told [it] unto David, he sent to
meet

them, {because} the men were greatly ashamed: and the king said,

Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and [then] return.

because <2SA12 -6> And he shall restore the lamb fourfold,
{because}

he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

because <2SA12 -6> And he shall restore the lamb fourfold,
because

he did this thing, and {because} he had no pity.

because <2SA12 -10> Now therefore the sword shall never depart
from

thine house; {because} thou hast despised me, and hast taken the

wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.

because <2SA12 -14> Howbeit, {because} by this deed thou hast
given

great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child

also [that is] born unto thee shall surely die.

because <2SA12 -25> And he sent by the hand of Nathan the
prophet;

and he called his name Jedidiah, {because} of the LORD.

because <2SA13 -22> And Absalom spake unto his brother Amnon
neither

good nor bad: for Absalom hated Amnon, {because} he had forced
his

sister Tamar.

because <2SA14 -15> Now therefore that I am come to speak of this

thing unto my lord the king, [it is] {because} the people have
made

me afraid: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king;
it

may be that the king will perform the request of his

handmaid.

because <2SA14 -26> And when he polled his head, (for it was at

every year's end that he polled [it]: {because} [the hair] was
heavy

on him, therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head
at

two hundred shekels after the king's weight.

because <2SA16 -8> The LORD hath returned upon thee all the
blood of

the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD

hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and,

behold, thou [art taken] in thy mischief, {because} th

ou [art] a bloody man.

because <2SA16 -10> And the king said, What have I to do with
you,

ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, {because} the LORD hath
said

unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou
done

so?

because <2SA18 -20> And Joab said unto him, Thou shalt not bear

tidings this day, but thou shalt bear tidings another day: but
this

day thou shalt bear no tidings, {because} the king's son is dead.

because <2SA19 -21> But Abishai the son of Zeruiah answered and

said, Shall not Shimei be put to death for this, {because} he
cursed

the LORD'S anointed?

because <2SA19 -26> And he answered, My lord, O king, my servant

deceived me: for thy servant said, I will saddle me an ass, that
I

may ride thereon, and go to the king; {because} thy servant [is]

lame.

because <2SA19 -42> And all the men of Judah answered the men of

Israel, {Because} the king [is] near of kin to us: wherefore
then be

ye angry for this matter? have we eaten at all of the king's
[cost]?

or hath he given us any gift?

because <2SA21 -1> Then there was a famine in the days of David

three years, year after year; and David inquired of the LORD. And

the LORD answered, [It is] for Saul, and for [his] bloody house,

{because} he slew the Gibeonites.

because <2SA21 -7> But the king spared Mephibosheth, the son of

Jonathan the son of Saul, {because} of the LORD'S oath that [was]

between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

because <2SA22 -8> Then the earth shook and trembled; the

foundations of heaven moved and shook, {because} he was wroth.

because <2SA22 -20> He brought me forth also into a large place:
he

delivered me, {because} he delighted in me.

because <2SA23 -6> But [the sons] of Belial [shall be] all of
them

as thorns thrust away, {because} they cannot be taken with hands:

because <1KI1 -50> And Adonijah feared {because} of Solomon, and

arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar.

because <1KI2 -7> But show kindness unto the sons of Barzillai
the

Gileadite, and let them be of those that eat at thy table: for so

they came to me when I fled {because} of Absalom thy brother.

because <1KI2 -26> And unto Abiathar the priest said the king,
Get

thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou [art] worthy of

death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, {because}
thou

barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father

, and because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father
was

afflicted.

because <1KI2 -26> And unto Abiathar the priest said the king,
Get

thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou [art] worthy of

death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because
thou

barest the ark of the Lord GOD before David my father,

and {because} thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father
was

afflicted.

because <1KI3 -2> Only the people sacrificed in high places,

{because} there was no house built unto the name of the LORD,
until

those days.

because <1KI3 -11> And God said unto him, {Because} thou hast
asked

this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither
hast

asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine
enemies;

but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern

judgment;

because <1KI3 -19> And this woman's child died in the night;

{because} she overlaid it.

because <1KI7 -47> And Solomon left all the vessels [unweighed],

{because} they were exceeding many: neither was the weight of the

brass found out.

because <1KI8 -11> So that the priests could not stand to
minister

{because} of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the

house of the LORD.

because <1KI8 -33> When thy people Israel be smitten down before
the

enemy, {because} they have sinned against thee, and shall turn
again

to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication
unto

thee in this house:

because <1KI8 -35> When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain,

{because} they have sinned against thee; if they pray toward this

place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou

afflictest them:

because <1KI8 -64> The same day did the king hallow the middle of

the court that [was] before the house of the LORD for there he

offered burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and the fat of the

peace offerings: {because} the brazen altar that [was] before

the LORD [was] too little to receive the burnt offerings, and
meat

offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

because <1KI9 -9> And they shall answer, {Because} they forsook
the

LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land
of

Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped

them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought u

pon them all this evil.

because <1KI10 -9> Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted
in

thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: {because} the LORD
loved

Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and

justice.

because <1KI11 -9> And the LORD was angry with Solomon, {because}

his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had
appeared

unto him twice,

because <1KI11 -33> {Because} that they have forsaken me, and
have

worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the
god

of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and

have not walked in my ways, to do [that which is] right

in mine eyes, and [to keep] my statutes and my judgments, as
[did]

David his father.

because <1KI11 -34> Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom
out of

his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for

David my servant's sake, whom I chose, {because} he kept my

commandments and my statutes:

because <1KI14 -13> And all Israel shall mourn for him, and bury

him: for he only of Jeroboam shall come to the grave, {because}
in

him there is found [some] good thing toward the LORD God of
Israel

in the house of Jeroboam.

because <1KI14 -15> For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is

shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good

land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them
beyond

the river, {because} they have made their groves, provo

king the LORD to anger.

because <1KI14 -16> And he shall give Israel up {because} of the

sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.

because <1KI15 -5> {Because} David did [that which was] right in
the

eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any [thing] that he

commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter
of

Uriah the Hittite.

because <1KI15 -13> And also Maachah his mother, even her he
removed

from [being] queen, {because} she had made an idol in a grove;
and

Asa destroyed her idol, and burnt [it] by the brook Kidron.

because <1KI15 -30> {Because} of the sins of Jeroboam which he

sinned, and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation
wherewith

he provoked the LORD God of Israel to anger.

because <1KI16 -7> And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the
son

of Hanani came the word of the LORD against Baasha, and against
his

house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the
LORD,

in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands

, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and {because} he killed
him.

because <1KI17 -7> And it came to pass after a while, that the
brook

dried up, {because} there had been no rain in the land.

because <1KI19 -7> And the angel of the LORD came again the
second

time, and touched him, and said, Arise [and] eat; {because} the

journey [is] too great for thee.

because <1KI19 -14> And he said, I have been very jealous for the

LORD God of hosts: {because} the children of Israel have forsaken

thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets
with

the sword; and I, [even] I only, am left; and they seek

my life, to take it away.

because <1KI20 -28> And there came a man of God, and spake unto
the

king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, {Because} the
Syrians

have said, The LORD [is] God of the hills, but he [is] not God of

the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great

multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I [am] the
LORD.

because <1KI20 -36> Then said he unto him, {Because} thou hast
not

obeyed the voice of the LORD, behold, as soon as thou art
departed

from me, a lion shall slay thee. And as soon as he was departed
from

him, a lion found him, and slew him.

because <1KI20 -42> And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD,

{Because} thou hast let go out of [thy] hand a man whom I
appointed

to utter destruction, therefore thy life shall go for his life,
and

thy people for his people.

because <1KI21 -2> And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me
thy

vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, {because} it

[is] near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better

vineyard than it; [or], if it seem good to thee, I will give

thee the worth of it in money.

because <1KI21 -4> And Ahab came into his house heavy and
displeased

{because} of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to
him:

for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my
fathers.

And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned aw

ay his face, and would eat no bread.

because <1KI21 -6> And he said unto her, {Because} I spake unto

Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard
for

money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee [another]

vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vine

yard.

because <1KI21 -20> And Ahab said to Elijah, hast thou found me,
O

mine enemy? And he answered, I have found [thee]; {because} thou

hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.

because <1KI21 -29> Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before
me?

{because} he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the
evil

in his days: [but] in his son's days will I bring the evil upon
his

house.

because <2KI1 -3> But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the

Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of

Samaria, and say unto them, [Is it] not {because} [there is] not
a

God in Israel, [that] ye go to inquire of Baalzebub the god of E

kron?

because <2KI1 -6> And they said unto him, There came a man up to

meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the king that sent

you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, [Is it] not {because}

[there is] not a God in Israel, [that] thou sendest to inq

uire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come

down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely
die.

because <2KI1 -16> And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD,

Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to inquire of Baalzebub
the

god of Ekron, [is it] not {because} [there is] no God in Israel
to

inquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off

that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

because <2KI1 -17> So he died according to the word of the LORD

which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the

second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah;

{because} he had no son.

because <2KI5 -1> Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of

Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable,
{because} by

him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a
mighty

man in valour, [but he was] a leper.

because <2KI8 -12> And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he

answered, {Because} I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the

children of Israel: their strong holds wilt thou set on fire, and

their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash t

heir children, and rip up their women with child.

because <2KI8 -29> And king Joram went back to be healed in
Jezreel

of the wounds which the Syrians had given him at Ramah, when he

fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of
Jehoram

king of Judah went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in

Jezreel, {because} he was sick.

because <2KI9 -14> So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of
Nimshi

conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and

all Israel, {because} of Hazael king of Syria.

because <2KI10 -30> And the LORD said unto Jehu, {Because} thou
hast

done well in executing [that which is] right in mine eyes, [and]

hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that [was] in
mine

heart, thy children of the fourth [generation] shall

sit on the throne of Israel.

because <2KI13 -4> And Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD

hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel,
{because}

the king of Syria oppressed them.

because <2KI13 -23> And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had

compassion on them, and had respect unto them, {because} of his

covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy
them,

neither cast he them from his presence as yet.

because <2KI15 -16> Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that
[were]

therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: {because} they
opened

not [to him], therefore he smote [it; and] all the women therein

that were with child he ripped up.

because <2KI17 -26> Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria,

saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the

cities of Samaria, know not the manner of the God of the land:

therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay

them, {because} they know not the manner of the God of the land.

because <2KI18 -12> {Because} they obeyed not the voice of the
LORD

their God, but transgressed his covenant, [and] all that Moses
the

servant of the LORD commanded, and would not hear [them], nor do

[them].

because <2KI19 -28> {Because} thy rage against me and thy tumult
is

come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose,

and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way
by

which thou camest.

because <2KI21 -11> {Because} Manasseh king of Judah hath done
these

abominations, [and] hath done wickedly above all that the
Amorites

did, which [were] before him, and hath made Judah also to sin
with

his idols:

because <2KI21 -15> {Because} they have done [that which was]
evil

in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their

fathers came forth out of Egypt, even unto this day.

because <2KI22 -7> Howbeit there was no reckoning made with them
of

the money that was delivered into their hand, {because} they
dealt

faithfully.

because <2KI22 -13> Go ye, inquire of the LORD for me, and for
the

people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book
that is

found: for great [is] the wrath of the LORD that is kindled
against

us, {because} our fathers have not hearkened unto t

he words of this book, to do according unto all that which is

written concerning us.

because <2KI22 -17> {Because} they have forsaken me, and have
burned

incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with

all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled

against this place, and shall not be quenched.

because <2KI22 -19> {Because} thine heart was tender, and thou
hast

humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spake

against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that
they

should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent t

hy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard [thee], saith
the

LORD.

because <2KI23 -26> Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the

fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled

against Judah, {because} of all the provocations that Manasseh
had

provoked him withal.

because <1CH1 -19> And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of
the

one [was] Peleg; {because} in his days the earth was divided: and

his brother's name [was] Joktan.

because <1CH4 -9> And Jabez was more honourable than his
brethren:

and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, {Because} I bare
him

with sorrow.

because <1CH4 -41> And these written by name came in the days of

Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the
habitations

that were found there, and destroyed them utterly unto this day,
and

dwelt in their rooms: {because} [there was] pasture th

ere for their flocks.

because <1CH5 -9> And eastward he inhabited unto the entering in
of

the wilderness from the river Euphrates: {because} their cattle
were

multiplied in the land of Gilead.

because <1CH5 -20> And they were helped against them, and the

Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that [were]
with

them: for they cried to God in the battle, and he was entreated
of

them; {because} they put their trust in him.

because <1CH5 -22> For there fell down many slain, {because} the
war

[was] of God. And they dwelt in their steads until the captivity.

because <1CH7 -21> And Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and

Ezer, and Elead, whom the men of Gath [that were] born in [that]

land slew, {because} they came down to take away their cattle.

because <1CH7 -23> And when he went in to his wife, she
conceived,

and bare a son, and he called his name Beriah, {because} it went

evil with his house.

because <1CH9 -27> And they lodged round about the house of God,

{because} the charge [was] upon them, and the opening thereof
every

morning [pertained] to them.

because <1CH12 -1> Now these [are] they that came to David to

Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close {because} of Saul the
son of

Kish: and they [were] among the mighty men, helpers of the war.

because <1CH13 -10> And the anger of the LORD was kindled against

Uzza, and he smote him, {because} he put his hand to the ark: and

there he died before God.

because <1CH13 -11> And David was displeased, {because} the LORD
had

made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called
Perezuzza to

this day.

because <1CH14 -2> And David perceived that the LORD had
confirmed

him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high,

{because} of his people Israel.

because <1CH15 -13> For {because} ye [did it] not at the first,
the

LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not
after

the due order.

because <1CH15 -22> And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, [was]
for

song: he instructed about the song, {because} he [was] skilful.

because <1CH16 -33> Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at
the

presence of the LORD, {because} he cometh to judge the earth.

because <1CH16 -41> And with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the
rest

that were chosen, who were expressed by name, to give thanks to
the

LORD, {because} his mercy [endureth] for ever;

because <1CH18 -10> He sent Hadoram his son to king David, to

inquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, {because} he had

fought against Hadarezer, and smitten him; (for Hadarezer had war

with Tou;) and [with him] all manner of vessels of gold and s

ilver and brass.

because <1CH19 -2> And David said, I will show kindness unto
Hanun

the son of Nahash, {because} his father showed kindness to me.
And

David sent messengers to comfort him concerning his father. So
the

servants of David came into the land of the children o

f Ammon to Hanun, to comfort him.

because <1CH21 -8> And David said unto God, I have sinned
greatly,

{because} I have done this thing: but now, I beseech thee, do
away

the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

because <1CH21 -30> But David could not go before it to inquire
of

God: for he was afraid {because} of the sword of the angel of the

LORD.

because <1CH22 -8> But the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Thou

hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt
not

build an house unto my name, {because} thou hast shed much blood

upon the earth in my sight.

because <1CH23 -28> {Because} their office [was] to wait on the
sons

of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, in the courts,

and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, and

the work of the service of the house of God;

because <1CH27 -23> But David took not the number of them from

twenty years old and under: {because} the LORD had said he would

increase Israel like to the stars of the heavens.

because <1CH27 -24> Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but
he

finished not, {because} there fell wrath for it against Israel;

neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of
king

David.

because <1CH28 -3> But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an

house for my name, {because} thou [hast been] a man of war, and
hast

shed blood.

because <1CH29 -3> Moreover, {because} I have set my affection to

the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and

silver, [which] I have given to the house of my God, over and
above

all that I have prepared for the holy house,

because <1CH29 -9> Then the people rejoiced, for that they
offered

willingly, {because} with perfect heart they offered willingly to

the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

because <2CH1 -11> And God said to Solomon, {Because} this was in

thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour,
nor

the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but

hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou m

ayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:

because <2CH2 -11> Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in
writing,

which he sent to Solomon, {Because} the LORD hath loved his
people,

he hath made thee king over them.

because <2CH6 -24> And if thy people Israel be put to the worse

before the enemy, {because} they have sinned against thee; and
shall

return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication
before

thee in this house;

because <2CH6 -26> When the heaven is shut up, and there is no
rain,

{because} they have sinned against thee; [yet] if they pray
toward

this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when
thou

dost afflict them;

because <2CH7 -2> And the priests could not enter into the house
of

the LORD, {because} the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD'S

house.

because <2CH7 -6> And the priests waited on their offices: the

Levites also with instruments of music of the LORD, which David
the

king had made to praise the LORD, {because} his mercy [endureth]
for

ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the pri

ests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.

because <2CH7 -7> Moreover Solomon hallowed the middle of the
court

that [was] before the house of the LORD: for there he offered
burnt

offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, {because} the
brazen

altar which Solomon had made was not able to receiv

e the burnt offerings, and the meat offerings, and the fat.

because <2CH7 -22> And it shall be answered, {Because} they
forsook

the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of
the

land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them,
and

served them: therefore hath he brought all this evi

l upon them.

because <2CH8 -11> And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh

out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for
her:

for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king
of

Israel, {because} [the places are] holy, whereunto the

ark of the LORD hath come.

because <2CH9 -8> Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in

thee to set thee on his throne, [to be] king for the LORD thy
God:

{because} thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever,

therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and just

ice.

because <2CH12 -2> And it came to pass, [that] in the fifth year
of

king Rehoboam Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem,

{because} they had transgressed against the LORD,

because <2CH12 -5> Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam,
and

[to] the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to
Jerusalem

{because} of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye

have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you i

n the hand of Shishak.

because <2CH12 -14> And he did evil, {because} he prepared not
his

heart to seek the LORD.

because <2CH13 -18> Thus the children of Israel were brought
under

at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, {because} they

relied upon the LORD God of their fathers.

because <2CH14 -6> And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the
land

had rest, and he had no war in those years; {because} the LORD
had

given him rest.

because <2CH14 -7> Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build
these

cities, and make about [them] walls, and towers, gates, and bars,

[while] the land [is] yet before us; {because} we have sought the

LORD our God, we have sought [him], and he hath given u

s rest on every side. So they built and prospered.

because <2CH15 -16> And also [concerning] Maachah the mother of
Asa

the king, he removed her from [being] queen, {because} she had
made

an idol in a grove: and Asa cut down her idol, and stamped [it],
and

burnt [it] at the brook Kidron.

because <2CH16 -7> And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa
king

of Judah, and said unto him, {Because} thou hast relied on the
king

of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the
host

of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand.

because <2CH16 -8> Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge

host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, {because} thou

didst rely on the LORD, he delivered them into thine hand.

because <2CH16 -10> Then Asa was wroth with the seer, and put
him in

a prison house; for [he was] in a rage with him {because} of this

[thing]. And Asa oppressed [some] of the people the same time.

because <2CH17 -3> And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, {because}
he

walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto

Baalim;

because <2CH20 -37> Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah

prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, {Because} thou hast
joined

thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the
ships

were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

because <2CH21 -3> And their father gave them great gifts of
silver,

and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah:

but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; {because} he [was] the

firstborn.

because <2CH21 -7> Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house
of

David, {because} of the covenant that he had made with David,
and as

he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.

because <2CH21 -10> So the Edomites revolted from under the hand
of

Judah unto this day. The same time [also] did Libnah revolt from

under his hand; {because} he had forsaken the LORD God of his

fathers.

because <2CH21 -12> And there came a writing to him from Elijah
the

prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father,

{Because} thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy

father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,

because <2CH22 -6> And he returned to be healed in Jezreel
because

of the wounds which were given him at Ramah, when he fought with

Hazael king of Syria. And Azariah the son of Jehoram king of
Judah

went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at Jezreel, {be

cause} he was sick.

because <2CH22 -6> And he returned to be healed in Jezreel
{because}

of the wounds which were given him at Ramah, when he fought with

Hazael king of Syria. And Azariah the son of Jehoram king of
Judah

went down to see Jehoram the son of Ahab at Jezreel, b

ecause he was sick.

because <2CH22 -9> And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him,
(for

he was hid in Samaria,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they
had

slain him, they buried him: {Because}, said they, he [is] the
son of

Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart

. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom.

because <2CH24 -16> And they buried him in the city of David
among

the kings, {because} he had done good in Israel, both toward God,

and toward his house.

because <2CH24 -20> And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the

son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and
said

unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of
the

LORD, that ye cannot prosper? {because} ye have forsa

ken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you.

because <2CH24 -24> For the army of the Syrians came with a small

company of men, and the LORD delivered a very great host into
their

hand, {because} they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers.
So

they executed judgment against Joash.

because <2CH25 -16> And it came to pass, as he talked with him,
that

[the king] said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel?

forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare,

and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee

, {because} thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my

counsel.

because <2CH25 -20> But Amaziah would not hear; for it [came] of

God, that he might deliver them into the hand [of their enemies],

{because} they sought after the gods of Edom.

because <2CH26 -20> And Azariah the chief priest, and all the

priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he [was] leprous in his

forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself
hasted

also to go out, {because} the LORD had smitten him.

because <2CH27 -6> So Jotham became mighty, {because} he prepared

his ways before the LORD his God.

because <2CH28 -6> For Pekah the son of Remaliah slew in Judah an

hundred and twenty thousand in one day, [which were] all valiant

men; {because} they had forsaken the LORD God of their fathers.

because <2CH28 -9> But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose
name

[was] Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria,

and said unto them, Behold, {because} the LORD God of your
fathers

was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your

hand, and ye have slain them in a rage [that] reacheth up unto

heaven.

because <2CH28 -19> For the LORD brought Judah low {because} of
Ahaz

king of Israel; for he made Judah naked, and transgressed sore

against the LORD.

because <2CH28 -23> For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus,

which smote him: and he said, {Because} the gods of the kings of

Syria help them, [therefore] will I sacrifice to them, that they
may

help me. But they were the ruin of him, and of all Israe

l.

because <2CH30 -3> For they could not keep it at that time,

{because} the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently,

neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.

because <2CH34 -21> Go, inquire of the LORD for me, and for them

that are left in Israel and in Judah, concerning the words of the

book that is found: for great [is] the wrath of the LORD that is

poured out upon us, {because} our fathers have not kept the

word of the LORD, to do after all that is written in this book.

because <2CH34 -25> {Because} they have forsaken me, and have
burned

incense unto other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with

all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be poured
out

upon this place, and shall not be quenched.

because <2CH34 -27> {Because} thine heart was tender, and thou
didst

humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against
this

place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself

before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep bef

ore me; I have even heard [thee] also, saith the LORD.

because <2CH35 -14> And afterward they made ready for themselves,

and for the priests: {because} the priests the sons of Aaron
[were

busied] in offering of burnt offerings and the fat until night;

therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the

priests the sons of Aaron.

because <2CH36 -15> And the LORD God of their fathers sent to
them

by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; {because} he
had

compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place:

because And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear

[was] upon them {because} of the people of those countries: and
they

offered burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD, [even] burnt

offerings morning and evening.

because And they sang together by course in praising
and

giving thanks unto the LORD; {because} [he is] good, for his
mercy

[endureth] for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted
with a

great shout, when they praised the LORD, because th

e foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

because And they sang together by course in praising
and

giving thanks unto the LORD; because [he is] good, for his mercy

[endureth] for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted
with a

great shout, when they praised the LORD, {because} th

e foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

because Now {because} we have maintenance from [the

king's] palace, and it was not meet for us to see the king's

dishonour, therefore have we sent and certified the king;

because For I was ashamed to require of the king a
band

of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way:

{because} we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our
God

[is] upon all them for good that seek him; but his powe

r and his wrath [is] against all them that forsake him.

because Then were assembled unto me every one that

trembled at the words of the God of Israel, {because} of the

transgression of those that had been carried away; and I sat

astonied until the evening sacrifice.

because O LORD God of Israel, thou [art] righteous:
for

we remain yet escaped, as [it is] this day: behold, we [are]
before

thee in our trespasses: for we cannot stand before thee
{because} of

this.

because Then Ezra rose up from before the house of
God,

and went into the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliashib: and
[when]

he came thither, he did eat no bread, nor drink water: for he

mourned {because} of the transgression of them that had b

een carried away.

because Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin
gathered

themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It [was]
the

ninth month, on the twentieth [day] of the month; and all the
people

sat in the street of the house of God, trembling {be

cause} of [this] matter, and for the great rain.

because Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God,
and

set a watch against them day and night, {because} of them.

because Some] also there were that said, We have
mortgaged

our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn,
{because}

of the dearth.

because Also I said, It [is] not good that ye do:
ought ye

not to walk in the fear of our God {because} of the reproach of
the

heathen our enemies?

because But the former governors that [had been]
before

me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread
and

wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants
bare

rule over the people: but so did not I, {because} of

the fear of God.

because Now [that] which was prepared [for me] daily

[was] one ox [and] six choice sheep; also fowls were prepared for

me, and once in ten days store of all sorts of wine: yet for all

this required not I the bread of the governor, {because} the

bondage was heavy upon this people.

because For [there were] many in Judah sworn unto him,

{because} he [was] the son in law of Shechaniah the son of Arah;
and

his son Johanan had taken the daughter of Meshullam the son of

Berechiah.

because And all the people went their way to eat, and
to

drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, {because}
they

had understood the words that were declared unto them.

because And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings
whom

thou hast set over us {because} of our sins: also they have
dominion

over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we

[are] in great distress.

because And {because} of all this we make a sure

[covenant], and write [it]; and our princes, Levites, [and]
priests,

seal [unto it].

because {Because} they met not the children of Israel

with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he

should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a
blessing.

because Remember them, O my God, {because} they have

defiled the priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and
of

the Levites.

because What shall we do unto the queen Vashti
according

to law, {because} she hath not performed the commandment of the
king

Ahasuerus by the chamberlains?

because Then the king Ahasuerus said unto Esther the
queen

and to Mordecai the Jew, Behold, I have given Esther the house of

Haman, and him they have hanged upon the gallows, {because} he
laid

his hand upon the Jews.

because And all the rulers of the provinces, and the

lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped
the

Jews; {because} the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.

because {Because} Haman the son of Hammedatha, the

Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews
to

destroy them, and had cast Pur, that [is], the lot, to consume
them,

and to destroy them;

because {Because} it shut not up the doors of my

[mother's] womb, nor hid sorrow from mine eyes.

because They were confounded {because} they had hoped;

they came thither, and were ashamed.

because For we [are but of] yesterday, and know
nothing,

{because} our days upon earth [are] a shadow:)

because {Because} thou shalt forget [thy] misery,
[and]

remember [it] as waters [that] pass away:

because And thou shalt be secure, {because} there is

hope; yea, thou shalt dig [about thee, and] thou shalt take thy
rest

in safety.

because {Because} he covereth his face with his
fatness,

and maketh collops of fat on [his] flanks.

because They change the night into day: the light
[is]

short {because} of darkness.

because It shall dwell in his tabernacle, {because}
[it

is] none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his
habitation.

because {Because} he hath oppressed [and] hath
forsaken

the poor; [because] he hath violently taken away an house which
he

builded not;

because Because he hath oppressed [and] hath forsaken

the poor; [{because}] he hath violently taken away an house
which he

builded not;

because {Because} I was not cut off before the
darkness,

[neither] hath he covered the darkness from my face.

because {Because} I delivered the poor that cried,
and

the fatherless, and [him that had] none to help him.

because {Because} he hath loosed my cord, and
afflicted

me, they have also let loose the bridle before me.

because If I rejoiced because my wealth [was] great,
and

{because} mine hand had gotten much;

because If I rejoiced {because} my wealth [was]
great,

and because mine hand had gotten much;

because So these three men ceased to answer Job,

{because} he [was] righteous in his own eyes.

because Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of

Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his

wrath kindled, {because} he justified himself rather than God.

because Also against his three friends was his wrath

kindled, {because} they had found no answer, and [yet] had
condemned

Job.

because Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken,

{because} they [were] elder than he.

because {Because} they turned back from him, and
would

not consider any of his ways:

because My desire [is that] Job may be tried unto the

end {because} of [his] answers for wicked men.

because There they cry, but none giveth answer,

{because} of the pride of evil men.

because But now, {because} [it is] not [so], he hath

visited in his anger; yet he knoweth [it] not in great extremity:

because {Because} [there is] wrath, [beware] lest he

take thee away with [his] stroke: then a great ransom cannot
deliver

thee.

because Knowest thou [it], because thou wast then
born?

or [{because}] the number of thy days [is] great?

because Knowest thou [it], {because} thou wast then

born? or [because] the number of thy days [is] great?

because Wilt thou trust him, {because} his strength
[is]

great? or wilt thou leave thy labour to him?

because {Because} God hath deprived her of wisdom,

neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

because Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness
{because} of

mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.

because But let all those that put their trust in thee

rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, {because} thou defendest
them:

let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

because Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it
waxeth

old {because} of all mine enemies.

because Mine eye is consumed {because} of grief; it
waxeth

old because of all mine enemies.

because Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself

{because} of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me [to] the

judgment [that] thou hast commanded.

because Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast
thou

ordained strength {because} of thine enemies, that thou mightest

still the enemy and the avenger.

because I will sing unto the LORD, {because} he hath

dealt bountifully with me.

because Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor,
{because}

the LORD [is] his refuge.

because I have set the LORD always before me:
{because}

[he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

because Then the earth shook and trembled; the

foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, {because} he

was wroth.

because He brought me forth also into a large place;
he

delivered me, {because} he delighted in me.

because Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a
plain

path, {because} of mine enemies.

because {Because} they regard not the works of the
LORD,

nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not
build

them up.

because Blessed [be] the LORD, {because} he hath heard

the voice of my supplications.

because For my life is spent with grief, and my years

with sighing: my strength faileth {because} of mine iniquity,
and my

bones are consumed.

because For our heart shall rejoice in him,
{because} we

have trusted in his holy name.

because A Psalm] of David. Fret not thyself {because}
of

evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of
iniquity.

because Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:

fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,
{because}

of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

because Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:

fret not thyself {because} of him who prospereth in his way,
because

of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

because And the LORD shall help them, and deliver
them:

he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, {because}
they

trust in him.

because There is] no soundness in my flesh because of

thine anger; neither [is there any] rest in my bones {because}
of my

sin.

because There is] no soundness in my flesh {because}
of

thine anger; neither [is there any] rest in my bones because of
my

sin.

because My wounds stink [and] are corrupt {because}
of my

foolishness.

because They also that render evil for good are mine

adversaries; {because} I follow [the thing that] good [is].

because I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; {because}
thou

didst [it].

because By this I know that thou favourest me,
{because}

mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

because I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou

forgotten me? why go I mourning {because} of the oppression of
the

enemy?

because For thou [art] the God of my strength: why
dost

thou cast me off? why go I mourning {because} of the oppression
of

the enemy?

because For they got not the land in possession by
their

own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right
hand,

and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, {because} thou

hadst a favour unto them.

because And in thy majesty ride prosperously
{because} of

truth and meekness [and] righteousness; and thy right hand shall

teach thee terrible things.

because Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of

Judah be glad, {because} of thy judgments.

because I will praise thee for ever, {because} thou
hast

done [it]: and I will wait on thy name; for [it is] good before
thy

saints.

because There were they in great fear, [where] no fear

was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth

[against] thee: thou hast put [them] to shame, {because} God hath

despised them.

because Because of the voice of the enemy, {because}
of

the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me,
and in

wrath they hate me.

because {Because} of the voice of the enemy, because
of

the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me,
and in

wrath they hate me.

because God shall hear, and afflict them, even he
that

abideth of old. Selah. {Because} they have no changes, therefore

they fear not God.

because {Because} of] his strength will I wait upon
thee:

for God [is] my defence.

because Thou hast given a banner to them that fear
thee,

that it may be displayed {because} of the truth. Selah.

because Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast
out

my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou {because} of me.

because {Because} thy lovingkindness [is] better than

life, my lips shall praise thee.

because {Because} thou hast been my help, therefore in

the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

because {Because} of thy temple at Jerusalem shall
kings

bring presents unto thee.

because {Because} for thy sake I have borne reproach;

shame hath covered my face.

because Draw nigh unto my soul, [and] redeem it:
deliver

me {because} of mine enemies.

because {Because} they believed not in God, and
trusted

not in his salvation:

because Show me a token for good; that they which
hate

me may see [it], and be ashamed: {because} thou, LORD, hast
holpen

me, and comforted me.

because {Because} thou hast made the LORD, [which is]
my

refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation;

because {Because} he hath set his love upon me,

therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he

hath known my name.

because Because he hath set his love upon me,
therefore

will I deliver him: I will set him on high, {because} he hath
known

my name.

because Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of

Judah rejoiced {because} of thy judgments, O LORD.

because {Because} of thine indignation and thy
wrath:

for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.

because {Because} they provoked his spirit, so that
he

spake unadvisedly with his lips.

because {Because} they rebelled against the words of

God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:

because Fools {because} of their transgression, and

because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

because Fools because of their transgression, and

{because} of their iniquities, are afflicted.

because They mount up to the heaven, they go down
again

to the depths: their soul is melted {because} of trouble.

because Then are they glad {because} they be quiet;
so

he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

because {Because} that he remembered not to show
mercy,

but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay
the

broken in heart.

because But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy

name's sake: {because} thy mercy [is] good, deliver thou me.

because I love the LORD, {because} he hath heard my

voice [and] my supplications.

because {Because} he hath inclined his ear unto me,

therefore will I call upon [him] as long as I live.

because O give thanks unto the LORD; for [he is]
good:

{because} his mercy [endureth] for ever.

because Horror hath taken hold upon me {because} of
the

wicked that forsake thy law.

because This I had, {because} I kept thy precepts.

because At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto

thee {because} of thy righteous judgments.

because They that fear thee will be glad when they
see

me; {because} I have hoped in thy word.

because I understand more than the ancients,
{because}

I keep thy precepts.

because Rivers of waters run down mine eyes,
{because}

they keep not thy law.

because My zeal hath consumed me, {because} mine

enemies have forgotten thy words.

because I beheld the transgressors, and was
grieved;

{because} they kept not thy word.

because Seven times a day do I praise thee
{because}

of thy righteous judgments.

because {Because} of the house of the LORD our God I

will seek thy good.

because {Because} I have called, and ye refused; I
have

stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

because The robbery of the wicked shall destroy them;

{because} they refuse to do judgment.

because Rob not the poor, {because} he [is] poor:

neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:

because My son, eat thou honey, {because} [it is]
good;

and the honeycomb, [which is] sweet to thy taste:

because Fret not thyself {because} of evil [men],

neither be thou envious at the wicked;

because Therefore I hated life; {because} the work
that

is wrought under the sun [is] grievous unto me: for all [is]
vanity

and vexation of spirit.

because Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken

under the sun: {because} I should leave it unto the man that
shall

be after me.

because Two [are] better than one; {because} they have
a

good reward for their labour.

because For he shall not much remember the days of his

life; {because} God answereth [him] in the joy of his heart.

because {Because} to every purpose there is time and

judgment, therefore the misery of man [is] great upon him.

because {Because} sentence against an evil work is not

executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is
fully

set in them to do evil.

because But it shall not be well with the wicked,
neither

shall he prolong [his] days, [which are] as a shadow; {because}
he

feareth not before God.

because Then I commended mirth, {because} a man hath
no

better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be

merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of
his

life, which God giveth him under the sun.

because Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man

cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: {because}

though a man labour to seek [it] out, yet he shall not find [it];

yea farther; though a wise [man] think to know [it], yet shal

l he not be able to find [it].

because The labour of the foolish wearieth every one
of

them, {because} he knoweth not how to go to the city.

because In the day when the keepers of the house shall

tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the
grinders

cease {because} they are few, and those that look out of the
windows

be darkened,

because Also [when] they shall be afraid of [that
which

is] high, and fears [shall be] in the way, and the almond tree
shall

flourish, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall

fail: {because} man goeth to his long home, and the m

ourners go about the streets:

because And moreover, {because} the preacher was wise,
he

still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and

sought out, [and] set in order many proverbs.

because {Because} of the savour of thy good ointments
thy

name [is as] ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love

thee.

because Look not upon me, because I [am] black,
{because}

the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with

me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; [but] mine own

vineyard have I not kept.

because Look not upon me, {because} I [am] black,
because

the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with

me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; [but] mine own

vineyard have I not kept.

because They all hold swords, [being] expert in war:
every

man [hath] his sword upon his thigh {because} of fear in the
night.

because Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the
house

of Jacob, {because} they be replenished from the east, and [are]

soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in
the

children of strangers.

because For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen:

{because} their tongue and their doings [are] against the LORD,
to

provoke the eyes of his glory.

because Moreover the LORD saith, {Because} the
daughters

of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and
wanton

eyes, walking and mincing [as] they go, and making a tinkling
with

their feet:

because Therefore my people are gone into captivity,

{because} [they have] no knowledge: and their honourable men
[are]

famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

because Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble,
and

the flame consumeth the chaff, [so] their root shall be as

rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: {because} they

have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the

word of the Holy One of Israel.

because Then said I, Woe [is] me! for I am undone;

{because} I [am] a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst
of

a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the
LORD

of hosts.

because {Because} Syria, Ephraim, and the son of
Remaliah,

have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,

because With arrows and with bows shall [men] come

thither; {because} all the land shall become briers and thorns.

because To the law and to the testimony: if they speak

not according to this word, [it is] {because} [there is] no
light in

them.

because And it shall come to pass in that day, [that]

his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his
yoke

from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed {because} of
the

anointing.

because Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial,

{because} thou hast destroyed thy land, [and] slain thy people:
the

seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

because Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, {because}
the

rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's
root

shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit [shall be] a fiery

flying serpent.

because The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of

Moab is laid waste, [and] brought to silence; {because} in the
night

Kir of Moab is laid waste, [and] brought to silence;

because The burden of Moab. {Because} in the night Ar
of

Moab is laid waste, [and] brought to silence; because in the
night

Kir of Moab is laid waste, [and] brought to silence;

because In that day shall his strong cities be as a

forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left
{because}

of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.

because {Because} thou hast forgotten the God of thy

salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength,

therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with

strange slips:

because In that day shall Egypt be like unto women:
and

it shall be afraid and fear {because} of the shaking of the hand
of

the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.

because And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto

Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in

himself, {because} of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he

hath determined against it.

because And it shall be for a sign and for a witness

unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry
unto

the LORD {because} of the oppressors, and he shall send them a

saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

because Therefore said I, Look away from me: I will
weep

bitterly, labour not to comfort me, {because} of the spoiling of
the

daughter of my people.

because The earth also is defiled under the
inhabitants

thereof; {because} they have transgressed the laws, changed the

ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

because Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose]

mind [is] stayed [on thee]: {because} he trusteth in thee.

because {Because} ye have said, We have made a
covenant

with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the
overflowing

scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we
have

made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hi

d ourselves:

because Bread [corn] is bruised; {because} he will
not

ever be threshing it, nor break [it with] the wheel of his cart,
nor

bruise it [with] his horsemen.

because Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel,

{Because} ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and

perverseness, and stay thereon:

because Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help;
and

stay on horses, and trust in chariots, {because} [they are] many;

and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not

unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

because Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help;
and

stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because [they are] many;
and

in horsemen, {because} they are very strong; but they look not
unto

the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

because {Because} the palaces shall be forsaken; the

multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall
be

for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;

because {Because} thy rage against me, and thy
tumult,

is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy
nose,

and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way
by

which thou camest.

because The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
{because}

the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people [is]

grass.

because The beast of the field shall honour me, the

dragons and the owls: {because} I give waters in the wilderness,

[and] rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my
chosen.

because {Because} I knew that thou [art] obstinate,
and

thy neck [is] an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;

because Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel,

[and] his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the

nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and
arise,

princes also shall worship, {because} of the LORD that is f

aithful, [and] the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.

because Wherefore, when I came, [was there] no man?
when

I called, [was there] none to answer? Is my hand shortened at
all,

that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at
my

rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wildern

ess: their fish stinketh, {because} [there is] no water, and
dieth

for thirst.

because And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath

stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the
earth;

and hast feared continually every day {because} of the fury of
the

oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where [i

s] the fury of the oppressor?

because And he made his grave with the wicked, and
with

the rich in his death; {because} he had done no violence, neither

[was any] deceit in his mouth.

because Therefore will I divide him [a portion] with
the

great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; {because}
he

hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the

transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made

intercession for the transgressors.

because Behold, thou shalt call a nation [that] thou

knowest not, and nations [that] knew not thee shall run unto thee

{because} of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel;
for

he hath glorified thee.

because Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and
thine

heart shall fear, and be enlarged; {because} the abundance of the

sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles
shall

come unto thee.

because Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the
ships

of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and

their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to
the

Holy One of Israel, {because} he hath glorified thee.

because The spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon me;

{because} the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto
the

meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim

liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to [them

that are] bound;

because And [there is] none that calleth upon thy
name,

that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid
thy

face from us, and hast consumed us, {because} of our iniquities.

because Therefore will I number you to the sword,
and ye

shall all bow down to the slaughter: {because} when I called, ye
did

not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before
mine

eyes, and did choose [that] wherein I delighted n

ot.

because That he who blesseth himself in the earth
shall

bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the
earth

shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are

forgotten, and {because} they are hid from mine eyes.

because That he who blesseth himself in the earth
shall

bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the
earth

shall swear by the God of truth; {because} the former troubles
are

forgotten, and because they are hid from mine eyes.

because I also will choose their delusions, and will

bring their fears upon them; {because} when I called, none did

answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before

mine eyes, and chose [that] in which I delighted not.

because Yet thou sayest, {Because} I am innocent,
surely

his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee,

because thou sayest, I have not sinned.

because Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely

his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee,

{because} thou sayest, I have not sinned.

because Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take
away

the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of

Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none
can

quench [it], {because} of the evil of your doings.

because As keepers of a field, are they against her
round

about; {because} she hath been rebellious against me, saith the

LORD.

because Thy way and thy doings have procured these

[things] unto thee; this [is] thy wickedness, {because} it is

bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.

because Thy way and thy doings have procured these

[things] unto thee; this [is] thy wickedness, because it is
bitter,

{because} it reacheth unto thine heart.

because My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very

heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace,

{because} thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet,
the

alarm of war.

because For this shall the earth mourn, and the
heavens

above be black: {because} I have spoken [it], I have purposed
[it],

and will not repent, neither will I turn back from it.

because For I have heard a voice as of a woman in

travail, [and] the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her
first

child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, [that] bewaileth
herself,

[that] spreadeth her hands, [saying], Woe [is] me now! for

my soul is wearied {because} of murderers.

because Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay

them, [and] a wolf of the evenings shall spoil them, a leopard
shall

watch over their cities: every one that goeth out thence shall be

torn in pieces: {because} their transgressions are many,

[and] their backslidings are increased.

because Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts,

{Because} ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy

mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

because Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon

this people, [even] the fruit of their thoughts, {because} they
have

not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.

because Reprobate silver shall [men] call them,
{because}

the LORD hath rejected them.

because And now, {because} ye have done all these
works,

saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and
speaking,

but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not;

because Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and
let

us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there:
for

the LORD our God hath put us to silence, and given us water of
gall

to drink, {because} we have sinned against the LORD

.

because Behold the voice of the cry of the daughter
of my

people {because} of them that dwell in a far country: [Is] not
the

LORD in Zion? [is] not her king in her? Why have they provoked
me to

anger with their graven images, [and] with strange

vanities?

because For the mountains will I take up a weeping and

wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation,

{because} they are burned up, so that none can pass through
[them];

neither can [men] hear the voice of the cattle; both th

e fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.

because And the LORD saith, {Because} they have
forsaken

my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice,

neither walked therein;

because For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion,
How

are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, {because} we have

forsaken the land, because our dwellings have cast [us] out.

because For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion,
How

are we spoiled! we are greatly confounded, because we have
forsaken

the land, {because} our dwellings have cast [us] out.

because They [are] upright as the palm tree, but speak

not: they must needs be borne, {because} they cannot go. Be not

afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also [is it] in

them to do good.

because How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs
of

every field wither, for the wickedness of them that dwell
therein?

the beasts are consumed, and the birds; {because} they said, He

shall not see our last end.

because They have made it desolate, [and being]
desolate

it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, {because}
no

man layeth [it] to heart.

because They have sown wheat, but shall reap thorns:

they have put themselves to pain, [but] shall not profit: and
they

shall be ashamed of your revenues {because} of the fierce anger
of

the LORD.

because But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall
weep

in secret places for [your] pride; and mine eye shall weep sore,
and

run down with tears, {because} the LORD's flock is carried away

captive.

because This [is] thy lot, the portion of thy
measures

from me, saith the LORD; {because} thou hast forgotten me, and

trusted in falsehood.

because {Because} the ground is chapt, for there was
no

rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their

heads.

because Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and

forsook [it], {because} there was no grass.

because And the wild asses did stand in the high
places,

they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail,

{because} [there was] no grass.

because And the people to whom they prophesy shall be

cast out in the streets of Jerusalem {because} of the famine and
the

sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives,
nor

their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour th

eir wickedness upon them.

because And I will cause them to be removed into all

kingdoms of the earth, {because} of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah

king of Judah, for [that] which he did in Jerusalem.

because I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor

rejoiced; I sat alone {because} of thy hand: for thou hast
filled me

with indignation.

because Then shalt thou say unto them, {Because} your

fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after

other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and
have

forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

because And first I will recompense their iniquity
and

their sin double; {because} they have defiled my land, they have

filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and

abominable things.

because O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake

thee shall be ashamed, [and] they that depart from me shall be

written in the earth, {because} they have forsaken the LORD, the

fountain of living waters.

because {Because} my people hath forgotten me, they
have

burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in

their ways [from] the ancient paths, to walk in paths, [in] a way

not cast up;

because {Because} they have forsaken me, and have

estranged this place, and have burned incense in it unto other
gods,

whom neither they nor their fathers have known, nor the kings of

Judah, and have filled this place with the blood of innocent

s;

because And I will make this city desolate, and an

hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and
hiss

{because} of all the plagues thereof.

because And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses
of

the kings of Judah, shall be defiled as the place of Tophet,

{because} of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned

incense unto all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink of

ferings unto other gods.

because Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of
Israel;

Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all
the

evil that I have pronounced against it, {because} they have
hardened

their necks, that they might not hear my words.

because For since I spake, I cried out, I cried
violence

and spoil; {because} the word of the LORD was made a reproach
unto

me, and a derision, daily.

because {Because} he slew me not from the womb; or
that

my mother might have been my grave, and her womb [to be] always

great [with me].

because O house of David, thus saith the LORD;
Execute

judgment in the morning, and deliver [him that is] spoiled out of

the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and
burn

that none can quench [it], {because} of the evil of you

r doings.

because Then they shall answer, {Because} they have

forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other

gods, and served them.

because Shalt thou reign, {because} thou closest

[thyself] in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do

judgment and justice, [and] then [it was] well with him?

because Mine heart within me is broken because of the

prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a

man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and {because}
of

the words of his holiness.

because Mine heart within me is broken {because} of
the

prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a

man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of
the

words of his holiness.

because Mine heart within me is broken because of the

prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a

man whom wine hath overcome, {because} of the LORD, and because
of

the words of his holiness.

because For the land is full of adulterers; for

{because} of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of
the

wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their
force

[is] not right.

because But since ye say, The burden of the LORD;

therefore thus saith the LORD; {Because} ye say this word, The

burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall
not

say, The burden of the LORD;

because Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts;
{Because}

ye have not heard my words,

because And they shall drink, and be moved, and be
mad,

{because} of the sword that I will send among them.

because Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus
saith

the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken,
and

spue, and fall, and rise no more, {because} of the sword which I

will send among you.

because And the peaceable habitations are cut down

{because} of the fierce anger of the LORD.

because He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for

their land is desolate {because} of the fierceness of the
oppressor,

and because of his fierce anger.

because He hath forsaken his covert, as the lion: for

their land is desolate because of the fierceness of the
oppressor,

and {because} of his fierce anger.

because If so be they will hearken, and turn every man

from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil, which I
purpose

to do unto them {because} of the evil of their doings.

because Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will

cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt
die,

{because} thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD.

because {Because} ye have said, The LORD hath raised
us

up prophets in Babylon;

because {Because} they have not hearkened to my
words,

saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the
prophets,

rising up early and sending [them]; but ye would not hear, saith
the

LORD.

because {Because} they have committed villany in
Israel,

and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and
have

spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them;
even

I know, and [am] a witness, saith the LORD.

because Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of

Israel, saying, {Because} thou hast sent letters in thy name unto

all the people that [are] at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son
of

Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

because Send to all them of the captivity, saying,
Thus

saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; {Because} that

Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he
caused

you to trust in a lie:

because Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will

punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a

man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good

that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; {because} he

hath taught rebellion against the LORD.

because All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek

thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy,
with

the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine

iniquity; [{because}] thy sins were increased.

because Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy
sorrow

[is] incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: [{because}]
thy

sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

because For I will restore health unto thee, and I
will

heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; {because} they called
thee

an Outcast, [saying], This [is] Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

because Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in
Ramah,

lamentation, [and] bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children

refused to be comforted for her children, {because} they [were]
not.

because Surely after that I was turned, I repented;
and

after that I was instructed, I smote upon [my] thigh: I was
ashamed,

yea, even confounded, {because} I did bear the reproach of my
youth.

because Behold the mounts, they are come unto the
city

to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans,

that fight against it, {because} of the sword, and of the famine,

and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come

to pass; and, behold, thou seest [it].

because {Because} of all the evil of the children of

Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to
provoke

me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and

their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitan

ts of Jerusalem.

because {Because} the sons of Jonadab the son of
Rechab

have performed the commandment of their father, which he
commanded

them; but this people hath not hearkened unto me:

because Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts,
the

God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the

inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced
against

them: {because} I have spoken unto them, but they have

not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not
answered.

because And Jeremiah said unto the house of the

Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel;

{Because} ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father,
and

kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath c

ommanded you:

because For I will surely deliver thee, and thou
shalt

not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto
thee:

{because} thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD.

because Now the LORD hath brought [it], and done

according as he hath said: {because} ye have sinned against the

LORD, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come

upon you.

because Now the pit wherein Ishmael had cast all the
dead

bodies of the men, whom he had slain {because} of Gedaliah,
[was] it

which Asa the king had made for fear of Baasha king of Israel:
[and]

Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with [the

m that were] slain.

because Because of the Chaldeans: for they were
afraid

of them, {because} Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain
Gedaliah

the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the

land.

because {Because} of the Chaldeans: for they were
afraid

of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah
the

son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the
land.

because {Because} of their wickedness which they have

committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn
incense,

[and] to serve other gods, whom they knew not, [neither] they,
ye,

nor your fathers.

because So that the LORD could no longer bear,
because

of the evil of your doings, [and] {because} of the abominations

which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation,
and an

astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at

this day.

because So that the LORD could no longer bear,
{because}

of the evil of your doings, [and] because of the abominations
which

ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an

astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at

this day.

because Because ye have burned incense, and
{because} ye

have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of
the

LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his

testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as

at this day.

because {Because} ye have burned incense, and
because ye

have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of
the

LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his

testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as

at this day.

because Why are thy valiant [men] swept away? they
stood

not, {because} the LORD did drive them.

because Also her hired men [are] in the midst of her

like fatted bullocks; for they also are turned back, [and] are
fled

away together: they did not stand, {because} the day of their

calamity was come upon them, [and] the time of their visitat

ion.

because They shall cut down her forest, saith the
LORD,

though it cannot be searched; {because} they are more than the

grasshoppers, and [are] innumerable.

because {Because} of the day that cometh to spoil all
the

Philistines, [and] to cut off from Tyrus and Zidon every helper
that

remaineth: for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant
of

the country of Caphtor.

because For {because} thou hast trusted in thy works
and

in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go

forth into captivity [with] his priests and his princes together.

because Therefore mine heart shall sound for Moab
like

pipes, and mine heart shall sound like pipes for the men of

Kirheres: {because} the riches [that] he hath gotten are
perished.

because And Moab shall be destroyed from [being] a

people, {because} he hath magnified [himself] against the LORD.

because They that fled stood under the shadow of
Heshbon

{because} of the force: but a fire shall come forth out of
Heshbon,

and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner
of

Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous

ones.

because All that found them have devoured them: and
their

adversaries said, We offend not, {because} they have sinned
against

the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of

their fathers.

because Because ye were glad, {because} ye rejoiced,
O

ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the

heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;

because Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O
ye

destroyers of mine heritage, {because} ye are grown fat as the

heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;

because {Because} ye were glad, because ye rejoiced,
O

ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the

heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;

because {Because} of the wrath of the LORD it shall
not

be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that
goeth

by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues.

because I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art
also

taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and
also

caught, {because} thou hast striven against the LORD.

because Make bright the arrows; gather the shields:
the

LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his

device [is] against Babylon, to destroy it; {because} it [is] the

vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

because We are confounded, {because} we have heard

reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers are come
into

the sanctuaries of the LORD'S house.

because {Because} the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and

destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like

great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:

because {Because} the spoiler is come upon her,
[even]

upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their
bows

is broken: for the LORD God of recompenses shall surely requite.

because Judah is gone into captivity because of

affliction, and {because} of great servitude: she dwelleth among
the

heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her

between the straits.

because Judah is gone into captivity {because} of

affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among
the

heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her

between the straits.

because The ways of Zion do mourn, {because} none come
to

the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh,
her

virgins are afflicted, and she [is] in bitterness.

because Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore
she is

removed: all that honoured her despise her, {because} they have
seen

her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.

because For these [things] I weep; mine eye, mine eye

runneth down with water, because the comforter that should
relieve

my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, {because} the

enemy prevailed.

because For these [things] I weep; mine eye, mine eye

runneth down with water, {because} the comforter that should
relieve

my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the
enemy

prevailed.

because Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are

troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction
of

the daughter of my people; {because} the children and the
sucklings

swoon in the streets of the city.

because It is of] the LORD'S mercies that we are not

consumed, {because} his compassions fail not.

because He sitteth alone and keepeth silence,
{because}

he hath borne [it] upon him.

because Mine eye affecteth mine heart {because} of all

the daughters of my city.

because We gat our bread with [the peril of] our lives

{because} of the sword of the wilderness.

because Our skin was black like an oven {because} of
the

terrible famine.

because {Because} of the mountain of Zion, which is

desolate, the foxes walk upon it.

because Again, When a righteous [man] doth turn from
his

righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock

before him, he shall die: {because} thou hast not given him
warning,

he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he

hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require
at

thine hand.

because Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous [man],

that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely

live, {because} he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

because Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because} ye

multiplied more than the nations that [are] round about you,
[and]

have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments,

neither have done according to the judgments of the nation

s that [are] round about you;

because And I will do in thee that which I have not
done,

and whereunto I will not do any more the like, {because} of all

thine abominations.

because Wherefore, [as] I live, saith the Lord GOD;

Surely, {because} thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy

detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore
will I

also diminish [thee]; neither shall mine eye spare, neither w

ill I have any pity.

because And they that escape of you shall remember me

among the nations whither they shall be carried captives,
{because}

I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from
me,

and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idol

s: and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have

committed in all their abominations.

because They shall cast their silver in the streets,
and

their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall
not

be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they

shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowe

ls: {because} it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

because And say unto the people of the land, Thus
saith

the Lord GOD of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, [and] of the land
of

Israel; They shall eat their bread with carefulness, and drink
their

water with astonishment, that her land may be desol

ate from all that is therein, {because} of the violence of all
them

that dwell therein.

because Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because}
ye

have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I [am]
against

you, saith the Lord GOD.

because Because, even {because} they have seduced my

people, saying, Peace; and [there was] no peace; and one built
up a

wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered [mortar]:

because {Because}, even because they have seduced my

people, saying, Peace; and [there was] no peace; and one built
up a

wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered [mortar]:

because {Because} with lies ye have made the heart of

the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the

hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked
way,

by promising him life:

because That I may take the house of Israel in their
own

heart, {because} they are all estranged from me through their
idols.

because If I cause noisome beasts to pass through the

land, and they spoil it, so that it be desolate, that no man may

pass through {because} of the beasts:

because And I will make the land desolate, {because}
they

have committed a trespass, saith the Lord GOD.

because But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and

playedst the harlot {because} of thy renown, and pouredst out thy

fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.

because Thou hast played the whore also with the

Assyrians, {because} thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played
the

harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

because Thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because} thy

filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through
thy

whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy

abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst

give u

nto them;

because {Because} thou hast not remembered the days
of

thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these [things]; behold,

therefore I also will recompense thy way upon [thine] head, saith

the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above

all thine abominations.

because That thou mayest remember, and be confounded,

and never open thy mouth any more {because} of thy shame, when I
am

pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord

GOD.

because As for] his father, {because} he cruelly

oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did [that] which

[is] not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his

iniquity.

because {Because} he considereth, and turneth away
from

all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely
live,

he shall not die.

because {Because} they despised my judgments, and
walked

not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart
went

after their idols.

because {Because} they had not executed my judgments,

but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and

their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

because And it shall be, when they say unto thee,

Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings;

{because} it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands
shall

be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall

be weak [as] water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to

pass, saith the Lord GOD.

because {Because} [it is] a trial, and what if [the

sword] contemn even the rod? it shall be no [more], saith the
Lord

GOD.

because Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because}
ye

have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your

transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your
sins

do appear; because, [I say], that ye are come to remembrance, ye

shall be taken with the hand.

because Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye

have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your

transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your
sins

do appear; {because}, [I say], that ye are come to remembrance,
ye

shall be taken with the hand.

because And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus

saith the Lord GOD concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their

reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword [is] drawn: for the

slaughter [it is] furbished, to consume {because} of the g

littering:

because Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because}
ye

are all become dross, behold, therefore I will gather you into
the

midst of Jerusalem.

because I will do these [things] unto thee, because
thou

hast gone a whoring after the heathen, [and] {because} thou art

polluted with their idols.

because I will do these [things] unto thee, {because}

thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, [and] because thou
art

polluted with their idols.

because Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because}

thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore
bear

thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

because And the righteous men, they shall judge them

after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women
that

shed blood; {because} they [are] adulteresses, and blood [is] in

their hands.

because In thy filthiness [is] lewdness: {because} I

have purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be
purged

from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest

upon thee.

because And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of
the

Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because} thou saidst, Aha,

against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land
of

Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of J

udah, when they went into captivity;

because For thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because} thou
hast

clapped [thine] hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in

heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel;

because Thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because} that Moab
and

Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah [is] like unto all the

heathen;

because Thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because} that Edom

hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and
hath

greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;

because Thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because} the

Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with
a

despiteful heart, to destroy [it] for the old hatred;

because Son of man, {because} that Tyrus hath said

against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken [that was] the gates of the

people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, [now] she
is

laid waste:

because Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus

saith the Lord GOD; {Because} thine heart [is] lifted up, and
thou

hast said, I [am] a God, I sit [in] the seat of God, in the
midst of

the seas; yet thou [art] a man, and not God, though t

hou set thine heart as the heart of God:

because By thy great wisdom [and] by thy traffic hast

thou increased thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up
{because} of

thy riches:

because Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because}
thou

hast set thine heart as the heart of God;

because Thine heart was lifted up {because} of thy

beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy
brightness:

I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings,
that

they may behold thee.

because And all the inhabitants of Egypt shall know
that

I [am] the LORD, {because} they have been a staff of reed to the

house of Israel.

because And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and

waste; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD: {because} he
hath

said, The river [is] mine, and I have made [it].

because I have given him the land of Egypt [for] his

labour wherewith he served against it, {because} they wrought for

me, saith the Lord GOD.

because Therefore his height was exalted above all the

trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his
branches

became long {because} of the multitude of waters, when he shot

forth.

because Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because}

thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his
top

among the thick boughs, and his heart is lifted up in his height;

because Then shall they know that I [am] the LORD,
when

I have laid the land most desolate {because} of all their

abominations which they have committed.

because And they were scattered, {because} [there is]
no

shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field,
when

they were scattered.

because As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely
{because}

my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast
of

the field, because [there was] no shepherd, neither did my
shepherds

search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselv

es, and fed not my flock;

because As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely
because my

flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of
the

field, {because} [there was] no shepherd, neither did my
shepherds

search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselv

es, and fed not my flock;

because {Because} ye have thrust with side and with

shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye
have

scattered them abroad;

because {Because} thou hast had a perpetual hatred,
and

hast shed [the blood of] the children of Israel by the force of
the

sword in the time of their calamity, in the time [that their]

iniquity [had] an end:

because {Because} thou hast said, These two nations
and

these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it;
whereas

the LORD was there:

because As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of
the

house of Israel, {because} it was desolate, so will I do unto
thee:

thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, [even] all
of

it: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.

because Thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because} the enemy
hath

said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in

possession:

because Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the
Lord

GOD; {Because} they have made [you] desolate, and swallowed you
up

on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of
the

heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers,

and [are] an infamy of the people:

because Prophesy therefore concerning the land of
Israel,

and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and
to

the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my

jealousy and in my fury, {because} ye have borne the

shame of the heathen:

because Thus saith the Lord GOD; {Because} they say
unto

you, Thou [land] devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations;

because And the heathen shall know that the house of

Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: {because} they

trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and
gave

them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the

sword.

because Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be

shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it;

{because} the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it,

therefore it shall be shut.

because In that ye have brought [into my sanctuary]

strangers, uncircumcised in heart, and uncircumcised in flesh,
to be

in my sanctuary, to pollute it, [even] my house, when ye offer my

bread, the fat and the blood, and they have broken my cov

enant {because} of all your abominations.

because {Because} they ministered unto them before
their

idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity;

therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord

GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity.

because And it shall come to pass, [that] every thing

that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come,

shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish,

{because} these waters shall come thither: for they shall be he

aled; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

because And by the river upon the bank thereof, on
this

side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf

shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it

shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, {beca

use} their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit

thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

because The king answered and said, I know of certainty

that ye would gain the time, {because} ye see the thing is gone
from

me.

because Therefore {because} the king's commandment was

urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew

those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

because Therefore I make a decree, That every people,

nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the
God of

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and
their

houses shall be made a dunghill: {because} there is no

other God that can deliver after this sort.

because O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians,
{because}

I know that the spirit of the holy gods [is] in thee, and no
secret

troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen,

and the interpretation thereof.

because Then this Daniel was preferred above the

presidents and princes, {because} an excellent spirit [was] in
him;

and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

because Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and

commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So
Daniel

was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon

him, {because} he believed in his God.

because I beheld then {because} of the voice of the
great

words which the horn spake: I beheld [even] till the beast was

slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

because O Lord, righteousness [belongeth] unto thee,
but

unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah,
and

to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, [that are]

near, and [that are] far off, through all the countrie

s whither thou hast driven them, {because} of their trespass that

they have trespassed against thee.

because O Lord, to us [belongeth] confusion of face, to

our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, {because} we have

sinned against thee.

because Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law,
even

by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the

curse is poured upon us, and the oath that [is] written in the
law

of Moses the servant of God, {because} we have sinned aga

inst him.

because O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I

beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from
thy

city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: {because} for our sins, and
for

the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people

[are become] a reproach to all [that are] about us.

because And [some] of them of understanding shall
fall,

to try them, and to purge, and to make [them] white, [even] to
the

time of the end: {because} [it is] yet for a time appointed.

because Hear the word of the LORD, ye children of
Israel:

for the LORD hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land,

{because} [there is] no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in

the land.

because My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge:

{because} thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee,

that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten
the

law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

because For they shall eat, and not have enough: they

shall commit whoredom, and shall not increase: {because} they
have

left off to take heed to the LORD.

because They sacrifice upon the tops of the mountains,

and burn incense upon the hills, under oaks and poplars and elms,

{because} the shadow thereof [is] good: therefore your daughters

shall commit whoredom, and your spouses shall commit adult

ery.

because The wind hath bound her up in her wings, and
they

shall be ashamed {because} of their sacrifices.

because Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house
of

Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment [is]

toward you, {because} ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net

spread upon Tabor.

because Ephraim [is] oppressed [and] broken in
judgment,

{because} he willingly walked after the commandment.

because Woe unto them! for they have fled from me:

destruction unto them! {because} they have transgressed against
me:

though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against
me.

because Set] the trumpet to thy mouth. [He shall come]
as

an eagle against the house of the LORD, {because} they have

transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.

because {Because} Ephraim hath made many altars to
sin,

altars shall be unto him to sin.

because For, lo, they are gone {because} of
destruction:

Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them: the pleasant

[places] for their silver, nettles shall possess them: thorns
[shall

be] in their tabernacles.

because My God will cast them away, {because} they did

not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the
nations.

because For now they shall say, We have no king,

{because} we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to
us?

because The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear
{because}

of the calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall mourn
over

it, and the priests thereof [that] rejoiced on it, for the glory

thereof, because it is departed from it.

because The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because
of

the calves of Bethaven: for the people thereof shall mourn over
it,

and the priests thereof [that] rejoiced on it, for the glory

thereof, {because} it is departed from it.

because Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped

iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: {because} thou didst

trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

because So shall Bethel do unto you {because} of your

great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly
be

cut off.

because He shall not return into the land of Egypt,
but

the Assyrian shall be his king, {because} they refused to return.

because And the sword shall abide on his cities, and

shall consume his branches, and devour [them], {because} of their

own counsels.

because Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye

drinkers of wine, {because} of the new wine, for it is cut off
from

your mouth.

because Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye

vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; {because} the

harvest of the field is perished.

because The vine is dried up, and the fig tree

languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the
apple

tree, [even] all the trees of the field, are withered: {because}
joy

is withered away from the sons of men.

because How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle
are

perplexed, {because} they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of
sheep

are made desolate.

because But I will remove far off from you the
northern

[army], and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with
his

face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost
sea,

and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour sh

all come up, {because} he hath done great things.

because {Because} ye have taken my silver and my gold,
and

have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:

because Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall
be a

desolate wilderness, for the violence [against] the children of

Judah, {because} they have shed innocent blood in their land.

because Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions
of

Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment]

thereof; {because} they have threshed Gilead with threshing

instruments of iron:

because Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions
of

Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment]
thereof;

{because} they carried away captive the whole captivity, to
deliver

[them] up to Edom:

because Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions
of

Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment]
thereof;

{because} they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and

remembered not the brotherly covenant:

because Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions
of

Edom, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment]
thereof;

{because} he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast
off

all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and h

e kept his wrath for ever:

because Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions
of

the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away [the

punishment] thereof; {because} they have ripped up the women with

child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:

because Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions
of

Moab, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment]
thereof;

{because} he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

because Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions
of

Judah, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment]
thereof;

{because} they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not
kept

his commandments, and their lies caused them to err,

after the which their fathers have walked:

because Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions
of

Israel, and for four, I will not turn away [the punishment]
thereof;

{because} they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a

pair of shoes;

because Therefore thus will I do unto thee, O Israel:

[and] {because} I will do this unto thee, prepare to meet thy
God, O

Israel.

because Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said

unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled

from the presence of the LORD, {because} he had told them.

because Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil

upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practice it,

{because} it is in the power of their hand.

because Arise ye, and depart; for this [is] not [your]

rest: {because} it is polluted, it shall destroy [you], even
with a

sore destruction.

because Therefore also will I make [thee] sick in
smiting

thee, in making [thee] desolate {because} of thy sins.

because I will bear the indignation of the LORD,
{because}

I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute

judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, [and] I
shall

behold his righteousness.

because Notwithstanding the land shall be desolate

{because} of them that dwell therein, for the fruit of their
doings.

because They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they

shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they
shall be

afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear {because} of thee.

because Who [is] a God like unto thee, that pardoneth

iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his

heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, {because} he

delighteth [in] mercy.

because {Because} of the multitude of the whoredoms of
the

wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth

nations through her whoredoms, and families through her
witchcrafts.

because Thou also shalt be drunken: thou shalt be hid,

thou also shalt seek strength {because} of the enemy.

because Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and
burn

incense unto their drag; {because} by them their portion [is]
fat,

and their meat plenteous.

because For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time,
but

at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for

it; {because} it will surely come, it will not tarry.

because Yea also, {because} he transgresseth by wine,
[he

is] a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his
desire

as hell, and [is] as death, and cannot be satisfied, but
gathereth

unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people

:

because {Because} thou hast spoiled many nations, all
the

remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men's blood,
and

[for] the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that
dwell

therein.

because Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the

remnant of the people shall spoil thee; {because} of men's blood,

and [for] the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that

dwell therein.

because For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee,
and

the spoil of beasts, [which] made them afraid, {because} of men's

blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all

that dwell therein.

because And I will bring distress upon men, that they

shall walk like blind men, {because} they have sinned against the

LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their
flesh

as the dung.

because This shall they have for their pride,
{because}

they have reproached and magnified [themselves] against the
people

of the LORD of hosts.

because In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all
thy

doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I
will

take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy
pride,

and thou shalt no more be haughty {because} of my ho

ly mountain.

because Ye looked for much, and, lo, [it came] to
little;

and when ye brought [it] home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the

LORD of hosts. {Because} of mine house that [is] waste, and ye
run

every man unto his own house.

because For before these days there was no hire for
man,

nor any hire for beast; neither [was there any] peace to him that

went out or came in {because} of the affliction: for I set all
men

every one against his neighbour.

because And I will encamp about mine house {because} of

the army, because of him that passeth by, and because of him that

returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for

now have I seen with mine eyes.

because And I will encamp about mine house because of
the

army, because of him that passeth by, and {because} of him that

returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for

now have I seen with mine eyes.

because And I will encamp about mine house because of
the

army, {because} of him that passeth by, and because of him that

returneth: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for

now have I seen with mine eyes.

because For the idols have spoken vanity, and the

diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they
comfort

in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were

troubled, {because} [there was] no shepherd.

because And they shall be as mighty [men], which tread

down [their enemies] in the mire of the streets in the battle:
and

they shall fight, {because} the LORD [is] with them, and the
riders

on horses shall be confounded.

because Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen;

{because} the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for
the

forest of the vintage is come down.

because If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay
[it]

to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I

will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings:

yea, I have cursed them already, {because} ye do not lay

[it] to heart.

because Yet ye say, Wherefore? {Because} the LORD hath

been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom

thou hast dealt treacherously: yet [is] she thy companion, and
the

wife of thy covenant.

because In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation,
and

weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping [for] her children,
and

would not be comforted, {because} they are not.

because Neither shalt thou swear by thy head,
{because}

thou canst not make one hair white or black.

because {Because} strait [is] the gate, and narrow
[is]

the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

because But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved
with

compassion on them, {because} they fainted, and were scattered

abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

because Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein
most

of his mighty works were done, {because} they repented not:

because At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank

thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, {because} thou hast hid

these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them
unto

babes.

because The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment
with

this generation, and shall condemn it: {because} they repented at

the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas [is]
here.

because Some fell upon stony places, where they had
not

much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, {because} they had no

deepness of earth:

because And when the sun was up, they were scorched;
and

{because} they had no root, they withered away.

because He answered and said unto them, {Because} it
is

given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,
but

to them it is not given.

because Therefore speak I to them in parables:
{because}

they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they

understand.

because Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth
for

a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth {because} of

the word, by and by he is offended.

because And he did not many mighty works there
{because}

of their unbelief.

because And when he would have put him to death, he

feared the multitude, {because} they counted him as a prophet.

because Then Jesus called his disciples [unto him],
and

said, I have compassion on the multitude, {because} they continue

with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not
send

them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

because And they reasoned among themselves, saying,
[It

is] {because} we have taken no bread.

because Which] when Jesus perceived, he said unto
them, O

ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, {because} ye

have brought no bread?

because And Jesus said unto them, {Because} of your

unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain
of

mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to

yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impo

ssible unto you.

because Woe unto the world {because} of offences! for
it

must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the

offence cometh!

because Then his lord, after that he had called him,

said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that
debt,

{because} thou desiredst me:

because He saith unto them, Moses {because} of the

hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but

from the beginning it was not so.

because They say unto him, {Because} no man hath hired

us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and
whatsoever

is right, [that] shall ye receive.

because Is it not lawful for me to do what I will
with

mine own? Is thine eye evil, {because} I am good?

because And the multitude rebuked them, {because}
they

should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have
mercy

on us, O Lord, [thou] son of David.

because But when they sought to lay hands on him,
they

feared the multitude, {because} they took him for a prophet.

because Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees,
hypocrites!

{because} ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the

sepulchres of the righteous,

because And {because} iniquity shall abound, the
love of

many shall wax cold.

because Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be

offended {because} of me this night: for it is written, I will
smite

the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered
abroad.

because Peter answered and said unto him, Though all

[men] shall be offended {because} of thee, [yet] will I never be

offended.

because And the chief priests took the silver pieces,
and

said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury,
{because}

it is the price of blood.

because When he was set down on the judgment seat,
his

wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that
just

man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream
{because}

of him.

because And he healed many that were sick of divers

diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils
to

speak, {because} they knew him.

because And he spake to his disciples, that a small
ship

should wait on him {because} of the multitude, lest they should

throng him.

because {Because} they said, He hath an unclean
spirit.

because And some fell on stony ground, where it had not

much earth; and immediately it sprang up, {because} it had no
depth

of earth:

because But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and

{because} it had no root, it withered away.

because But when the fruit is brought forth,
immediately

he putteth in the sickle, {because} the harvest is come.

because {Because} that he had been often bound with

fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by
him,

and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man] tame
him.

because And he marvelled {because} of their unbelief.
And

he went round about the villages, teaching.

because And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people,
and

was moved with compassion toward them, {because} they were as
sheep

not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

because {Because} it entereth not into his heart, but

into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all
meats?

because I have compassion on the multitude, {because}
they

have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat:

because And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It

is] {because} we have no bread.

because And when Jesus knew it], he saith unto them,
Why

reason ye, {because} ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet,
neither

understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?

because And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw
one

casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we

forbad him, {because} he followeth not us.

because For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to

drink in my name, {because} ye belong to Christ, verily I say
unto

you, he shall not lose his reward.

because And the scribes and chief priests heard it],
and

sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, {because}

all the people was astonished at his doctrine.

because And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not

therefore err, {because} ye know not the scriptures, neither the

power of God?

because And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be

offended {because} of me this night: for it is written, I will
smite

the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

because And now when the even was come, {because} it
was

the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,

because Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they

sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness
of

heart, {because} they believed not them which had seen him after
he

was risen.

because And they had no child, {because} that Elisabeth

was barren, and they both were now] well stricken in years.

because And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able
to

speak, until the day that these things shall be performed,
{because}

thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their

season.

because And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of
the

city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is

called Bethlehem; {because} he was of the house and lineage of

David:)

because And she brought forth her firstborn son, and

wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger;

{because} there was no room for them in the inn.

because The Spirit of the Lord is] upon me, {because}
he

hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent
me

to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives,

and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at libert

y them that are bruised,

because And when they could not find by what way] they

might bring him in {because} of the multitude, they went upon the

housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his] couch
into

the midst before Jesus.

because And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it
was

sprung up, it withered away, {because} it lacked moisture.

because And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name?

And he said, Legion: {because} many devils were entered into him.

because Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was
done

by him: and he was perplexed, {because} that it was said of some,

that John was risen from the dead;

because And John answered and said, Master, we saw one

casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, {because} he

followeth not with us.

because And they did not receive him, {because} his
face

was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

because Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the

spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, {because} your

names are written in heaven.

because I say unto you, Though he will not rise and
give

him, {because} he is his friend, yet because of his importunity
he

will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

because I say unto you, Though he will not rise and
give

him, because he is his friend, yet {because} of his importunity
he

will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

because If Satan also be divided against himself, how

shall his kingdom stand? {because} ye say that I cast out devils

through Beelzebub.

because And he thought within himself, saying, What

shall I do, {because} I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

because And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye

that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans,

{because} they suffered such things?

because And the ruler of the synagogue answered with

indignation, {because} that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day,
and

said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to
work:

in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the

sabbath day.

because And he said unto him, Thy brother is come;
and

thy father hath killed the fatted calf, {because} he hath
received

him safe and sound.

because And the lord commended the unjust steward,

{because} he had done wisely: for the children of this world are
in

their generation wiser than the children of light.

because Doth he thank that servant {because} he did
the

things that were commanded him? I trow not.

because Yet {because} this widow troubleth me, I will

avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

because And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and
could

not for the press, {because} he was little of stature.

because And as they heard these things, he added and

spake a parable, {because} he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because

they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

because And as they heard these things, he added and

spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and {because}

they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

because And he said unto him, Well, thou good
servant:

{because} thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou

authority over ten cities.

because For I feared thee, {because} thou art an
austere

man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that

thou didst not sow.

because And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him]?

thus shall ye say unto him, {Because} the Lord hath need of him.

because And shall lay thee even with the ground, and
thy

children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone

upon another; {because} thou knewest not the time of thy
visitation.

because And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding
glad:

for he was desirous to see him of a long season], {because} he
had

heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle

done by him.

because Jesus answered and said unto him, {Because} I

said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou?
thou

shalt see greater things than these.

because But Jesus did not commit himself unto them,

{because} he knew all men],

because He that believeth on him is not condemned:
but he

that believeth not is condemned already, {because} he hath not

believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

because And this is the condemnation, that light is
come

into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light,
{because}

their deeds were evil.

because And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to

Salim, {because} there was much water there: and they came, and
were

baptized.

because He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but
the

friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him,
rejoiceth

greatly {because} of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy
therefore

is fulfilled.

because And many more believed {because} of his own
word;

because And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not

{because} of thy saying: for we have heard him] ourselves, and
know

that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

because And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus,
and

sought to slay him, {because} he had done these things on the

sabbath day.

because Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill
him,

{because} he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that
God

was his Father, making himself equal with God.

because And hath given him authority to execute
judgment

also, {because} he is the Son of man.

because I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear,
I

judge: and my judgment is just; {because} I seek not mine own
will,

but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

because And a great multitude followed him, {because}
they

saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased.

because Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily,
I

say unto you, Ye seek me, not {because} ye saw the miracles, but

because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

because Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily,
I

say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but

{because} ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.

because The Jews then murmured at him, {because} he
said,

I am the bread which came down from heaven.

because After these things Jesus walked in Galilee:
for he

would not walk in Jewry, {because} the Jews sought to kill him.

because The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth,

{because} I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

because Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision;
not

{because} it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the
sabbath

day circumcise a man.

because If a man on the sabbath day receive
circumcision,

that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me,

{because} I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?

because Then they sought to take him: but no man laid

hands on him, {because} his hour was not yet come.

because But this spake he of the Spirit, which they
that

believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet

given]; {because} that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

because So there was a division among the people

{because} of him.

because Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself?

{because} he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.

because I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye
seek to

kill me, {because} my word hath no place in you.

because Why do ye not understand my speech? even]

{because} ye cannot hear my word.

because Ye are of your] father the devil, and the
lusts

of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning,
and

abode not in the truth, {because} there is no truth in him. When
he

speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a

liar, and the father of it.

because And {because} I tell you] the truth, ye
believe

me not.

because He that is of God heareth God's words: ye

therefore hear them] not, {because} ye are not of God.

because Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This
man is

not of God, {because} he keepeth not the sabbath day. Others
said,

How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles? And there was a

division among them.

because These words] spake his parents, {because} they

feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man

did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the

synagogue.

because The hireling fleeth, {because} he is an

hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

because Therefore doth my Father love me, {because} I

lay down my life, that I might take it again.

because But ye believe not, {because} ye are not of
my

sheep, as I said unto you.

because The Jews answered him, saying, For a good
work

we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and {because} that thou,
being

a man, makest thyself God.

because Say ye of him, whom the Father hath
sanctified,

and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; {because} I said, I am

the Son of God?

because Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in
the

day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, {because} he

seeth the light of this world.

because But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth,

{because} there is no light in him.

because And I knew that thou hearest me always: but

{because} of the people which stand by I said it], that they may

believe that thou hast sent me.

because This he said, not that he cared for the poor;
but

{because} he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put

therein.

because {Because} that by reason of him many of the
Jews

went away, and believed on Jesus.

because Jesus answered and said, This voice came not

{because} of me, but for your sakes.

because Therefore they could not believe, {because}
that

Esaias said again,

because Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many

believed on him; but {because} of the Pharisees they did not
confess

him], lest they should be put out of the synagogue:

because For some of them] thought, {because} Judas
had

the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things] that we

have need of against the feast; or, that he should give
something to

the poor.

because Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that

believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and
greater

works] than these shall he do; {because} I go unto my Father.

because Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world
cannot

receive, {because} it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye

know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

because Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no

more; but ye see me: {because} I live, ye shall live also.

because Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away,

and come again] unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice,

{because} I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater

than I.

because If ye were of the world, the world would love

his own: but {because} ye are not of the world, but I have chosen

you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

because But all these things will they do unto you
for

my name's sake, {because} they know not him that sent me.

because And ye also shall bear witness, {because} ye

have been with me from the beginning.

because And these things will they do unto you,
{because}

they have not known the Father, nor me.

because But these things have I told you, that when
the

time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And
these

things I said not unto you at the beginning, {because} I was with

you.

because But {because} I have said these things unto
you,

sorrow hath filled your heart.

because Of sin, {because} they believe not on me;

because Of righteousness, {because} I go to my
Father,

and ye see me no more;

because Of judgment, {because} the prince of this
world

is judged.

because A little while, and ye shall not see me: and

again, a little while, and ye shall see me, {because} I go to the

Father.

because Then said some] of his disciples among

themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while,
and

ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see
me:

and, {Because} I go to the Father?

because A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow,

{because} her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of
the

child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is

born into the world.

because For the Father himself loveth you, {because}
ye

have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

because Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come,
that

ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me

alone: and yet I am not alone, {because} the Father is with me.

because I have given them thy word; and the world
hath

hated them, {because} they are not of the world, even as I am
not of

the world.

because The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by
our

law he ought to die, {because} he made himself the Son of God.

because The Jews therefore, {because} it was the

preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on
the

sabbath day, for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought
Pilate

that their legs might be broken, and that] they might be

taken away.

because There laid they Jesus therefore {because} of
the

Jews' preparation day]; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand.

because And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest
thou?

She saith unto them, {Because} they have taken away my Lord, and
I

know not where they have laid him.

because Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, {because} thou

hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are] they that have not

seen, and yet] have believed.

because He saith unto him the third time, Simon,
son] of

Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved {because} he said unto
him

the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou

knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Je

sus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

because Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude

came together, and were confounded, {because} that every man
heard

them speak in his own language.

because Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the
pains

of death: {because} it was not possible that he should be holden
of

it.

because {Because} thou wilt not leave my soul in hell,

neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

because So when they had further threatened them, they

let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them,
{because}

of the people: for all men] glorified God for that which was
done.

because And in those days, when the number of the

disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians

against the Hebrews, {because} their widows were neglected in the

because And to him they had regard, {because} that of

long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.

because But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with

thee, {because} thou hast thought that the gift of God may be

because And they of the circumcision which believed
were

astonished, as many as came with Peter, {because} that on the

Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

because And {because} he saw it pleased the Jews, he

proceeded further to take Peter also. Then were the days of

unleavened bread.)

because And Herod was highly displeased with them of

Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having

made Blastus the king's chamberlain their friend, desired peace;

{because} their country was nourished by the king's country

].

because And immediately the angel of the Lord smote
him,

{because} he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms,
and

gave up the ghost.

because For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their

rulers, {because} they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the

prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled
them]

in condemning him].

because And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul,

Mercurius, {because} he was the chief speaker.

because Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and

took and circumcised him {because} of the Jews which were in
those

quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

because Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans,
and

of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this

babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of
strange

gods: {because} he preached unto them Jesus, and the re

surrection.

because {Because} he hath appointed a day, in the
which

he will judge the world in righteousness by that] man whom he
hath

ordained; whereof] he hath given assurance unto all men], in
that he

hath raised him from the dead.

because And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in

Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla;
{because}

that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and
came

unto them.

because And {because} he was of the same craft, he
abode

with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were

tentmakers.

because For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus,

{because} he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if
it

were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

because Then straightway they departed from him which

should have examined him: and the chief captain also was afraid,

after he knew that he was a Roman, and {because} he had bound
him.

because On the morrow, {because} he would have known
the

certainty wherefore he was accused of the Jews, he loosed him
from

his] bands, and commanded the chief priests and all their
council to

appear, and brought Paul down, and set him before

them.

because {Because} that thou mayest understand, that

there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to

worship.

because And {because} I doubted of such manner of

questions, I asked him] whether he would go to Jerusalem, and
there

be judged of these matters.

because I think myself happy, king Agrippa, {because}
I

shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the
things

whereof I am accused of the Jews:

because Especially {because} I know] thee to be
expert in

all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I

beseech thee to hear me patiently.

because And when we had launched from thence, we
sailed

under Cyprus, {because} the winds were contrary.

because Now when much time was spent, and when sailing

was now dangerous, {because} the fast was now already past, Paul

admonished them],

because And {because} the haven was not commodious to

winter in, the more part advised to depart thence also, if by any

means they might attain to Phenice, and there] to winter; which
is]

an haven of Crete, and lieth toward the south west and

north west.

because And the barbarous people showed us no little

kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one,

because of the present rain, and {because} of the cold.

because And the barbarous people showed us no little

kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one,

{because} of the present rain, and because of the cold.

because Who, when they had examined me, would have
let

me] go, {because} there was no cause of death in me.

because For this cause therefore have I called for
you,

to see you], and to speak with you]: {because} that for the hope
of

Israel I am bound with this chain.

because {Because} that which may be known of God is

manifest in them; for God hath showed it] unto them.

because {Because} that, when they knew God, they

glorified him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became
vain in

their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

because Much every way: chiefly, {because} that unto
them

were committed the oracles of God.

because {Because} the law worketh wrath: for where no
law

is, there is] no transgression.

because And hope maketh not ashamed; {because} the
love of

God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given

unto us.

because What then? shall we sin, {because} we are not

under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

because I speak after the manner of men {because} of
the

infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members

servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so
now

yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

because {Because} the carnal mind is] enmity against
God:

for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

because And if Christ be] in you, the body is] dead

because of sin; but the Spirit is] life {because} of
righteousness.

because And if Christ be] in you, the body is] dead

{because} of sin; but the Spirit is] life because of
righteousness.

because {Because} the creature itself also shall be

delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious
liberty

of the children of God.

because And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what
is]

the mind of the Spirit, {because} he maketh intercession for the

saints according to the will of] God.

because Neither, {because} they are the seed of
Abraham,

are they] all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.

because For he will finish the work, and cut it]
short in

righteousness: {because} a short work will the Lord make upon the

earth.

because Wherefore? {Because} they sought it] not by

faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled
at

that stumblingstone;

because Well; {because} of unbelief they were broken

off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

because And he that doubteth is damned if he eat,

{because} he eateth] not of faith: for whatsoever is] not of
faith

is sin.

because Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the
more

boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, {because}
of

the grace that is given to me of God,

because <1CO1 -25> {Because} the foolishness of God is wiser than

men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

because <1CO2 -14> But the natural man receiveth not the things
of

the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither
can he

know them], {because} they are spiritually discerned.

because <1CO3 -13> Every man's work shall be made manifest: for
the

day shall declare it, {because} it shall be revealed by fire; and

the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

because <1CO6 -7> Now therefore there is utterly a fault among
you,

{because} ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather
take

wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to] be defrauded?

because <1CO11 -10> For this cause ought the woman to have power
on

her] head {because} of the angels.

because <1CO12 -15> If the foot shall say, {Because} I am not the

hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

because <1CO12 -16> And if the ear shall say, {Because} I am not
the

eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

because <1CO15 -9> For I am the least of the apostles, that am
not

meet to be called an apostle, {because} I persecuted the church
of

God.

because <1CO15 -15> Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God;

{because} we have testified of God that he raised up Christ:
whom he

raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.

because <2CO2 -13> I had no rest in my spirit, {because} I found
not

Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence

into Macedonia.

because <2CO5 -14> For the love of Christ constraineth us;
{because}

we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:

because <2CO7 -13> Therefore we were comforted in your comfort:
yea,

and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, {because}

his spirit was refreshed by you all.

because <2CO11 -7> Have I committed an offence in abasing myself

that ye might be exalted, {because} I have preached to you the

gospel of God freely?

because <2CO11 -11> Wherefore? {because} I love you not? God

knoweth.

because And that {because} of false brethren unawares

brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we
have

in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:

because But when Peter was come to Antioch, I
withstood

him to the face, {because} he was to be blamed.

because Wherefore then serveth] the law? It was added

{because} of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom
the

promise was made; and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a

mediator.

because And {because} ye are sons, God hath sent forth
the

Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

because Am I therefore become your enemy, {because} I

tell you the truth?

because Having the understanding darkened, being

alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in

them, {because} of the blindness of their heart:

because Let no man deceive you with vain words: for

{because} of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the
children

of disobedience.

because Redeeming the time, {because} the days are
evil.

because Even as it is meet for me to think this of you

all, {because} I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my
bonds,

and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are

partakers of my grace.

because For he longed after you all, and was full of

heaviness, {because} that ye had heard that he had been sick.

because {Because} for the work of Christ he was nigh
unto

death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service
toward

me.

because Not {because} I desire a gift: but I desire
fruit

that may abound to your account.

because <1TH2 -8> So being affectionately desirous of you, we
were

willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only,
but

also our own souls, {because} ye were dear unto us.

because <1TH2 -9> For ye remember, brethren, our labour and
travail:

for labouring night and day, {because} we would not be chargeable

unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

because <1TH2 -13> For this cause also thank we God without
ceasing,

{because}, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us,
ye

received it] not as] the word of men, but as it is in truth, the

word of God, which effectually worketh also in you t

hat believe.

because <1TH4 -6> That no man] go beyond and defraud his brother
in

any] matter: {because} that the Lord is] the avenger of all such,
as

we also have forewarned you and testified.

because <2TH1 -3> We are bound to thank God always for you,

brethren, as it is meet, {because} that your faith groweth

exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each

other aboundeth;

because <2TH1 -10> When he shall come to be glorified in his
saints,

and to be admired in all them that believe {because} our
testimony

among you was believed) in that day.

because <2TH2 -10> And with all deceivableness of
unrighteousness in

them that perish; {because} they received not the love of the
truth,

that they might be saved.

because <2TH2 -13> But we are bound to give thanks alway to God
for

you, brethren beloved of the Lord, {because} God hath from the

beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the

Spirit and belief of the truth:

because <2TH3 -9> Not {because} we have not power, but to make

ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

because <1TI1 -13> Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor,

and injurious: but I obtained mercy, {because} I did it]
ignorantly

in unbelief.

because <1TI4 -10> For therefore we both labour and suffer
reproach,

{because} we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all
men,

specially of those that believe.

because <1TI5 -12> Having damnation, {because} they have cast off

their first faith.

because <1TI6 -2> And they that have believing masters, let them
not

despise them], because they are brethren; but rather do them]

service, {because} they are faithful and beloved, partakers of
the

benefit. These things teach and exhort.

because <1TI6 -2> And they that have believing masters, let them
not

despise them], {because} they are brethren; but rather do them]

service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the

benefit. These things teach and exhort.

because For we have great joy and consolation in thy
love,

{because} the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee,
brother.

because So we see that they could not enter in
{because}

of unbelief.

because Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must
enter

therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in

{because} of unbelief:

because For when God made promise to Abraham,
{because}

he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

because And they truly were many priests, {because}
they

were not suffered to continue by reason of death:

because But this man], {because} he continueth ever,
hath

an unchangeable priesthood.

because Not according to the covenant that I made with

their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead
them

out of the land of Egypt; {because} they continued not in my

covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

because For then would they not have ceased to be

offered? {because} that the worshippers once purged should have
had

no more conscience of sins.

because By faith Enoch was translated that he should
not

see death; and was not found, {because} God had translated him:
for

before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased
God.

because Through faith also Sara herself received

strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she
was

past age, {because} she judged him faithful who had promised.

because By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid
three

months of his parents, {because} they saw he was] a proper child;

and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.

because But the rich, in that he is made low:
{because}

as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

because Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to

have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not,

{because} ye ask not.

because Ye ask, and receive not, {because} ye ask
amiss,

that ye may consume it] upon your lusts.

because <1PE1 -16> {Because} it is written, Be ye holy; for I am

holy.

because <1PE2 -21> For even hereunto were ye called: {because}

Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye
should

follow his steps:

because <1PE5 -8> Be sober, be vigilant; {because} your adversary

the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may

devour:

because <1JO2 -8> Again, a new commandment I write unto you,
which

thing is true in him and in you: {because} the darkness is past,
and

the true light now shineth.

because <1JO2 -11> But he that hateth his brother is in darkness,

and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth,
{because}

that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

because <1JO2 -12> I write unto you, little children, {because}
your

sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

because <1JO2 -13> I write unto you, fathers, because ye have
known

him that is] from the beginning. I write unto you, young men,

because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little

children, {because} ye have known the Father.

because <1JO2 -13> I write unto you, fathers, because ye have
known

him that is] from the beginning. I write unto you, young men,

{because} ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you,
little

children, because ye have known the Father.

because <1JO2 -13> I write unto you, fathers, {because} ye have

known him that is] from the beginning. I write unto you, young
men,

because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little

children, because ye have known the Father.

because <1JO2 -14> I have written unto you, fathers, {because} ye

have known him that is] from the beginning. I have written unto
you,

young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in

you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

because <1JO2 -14> I have written unto you, fathers, because ye
have

known him that is] from the beginning. I have written unto you,

young men, {because} ye are strong, and the word of God abideth
in

you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

because <1JO2 -21> I have not written unto you {because} ye know
not

the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the
truth.

because <1JO2 -21> I have not written unto you because ye know
not

the truth, but {because} ye know it, and that no lie is of the

truth.

because <1JO3 -1> Behold, what manner of love the Father hath

bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:

therefore the world knoweth us not, {because} it knew him not.

because <1JO3 -9> Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
for

his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, {because} he is
born

of God.

because <1JO3 -12> Not as Cain, who] was of that wicked one, and

slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? {Because} his own
works

were evil, and his brother's righteous.

because <1JO3 -14> We know that we have passed from death unto
life,

{because} we love the brethren. He that loveth not his] brother

abideth in death.

because <1JO3 -16> Hereby perceive we the love of God],
{because} he

laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our] lives
for

the brethren.

because <1JO3 -22> And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him,

{because} we keep his commandments, and do those things that are

pleasing in his sight.

because <1JO4 -1> Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the

spirits whether they are of God: {because} many false prophets
are

gone out into the world.

because <1JO4 -4> Ye are of God, little children, and have
overcome

them: {because} greater is he that is in you, than he that is in
the

world.

because <1JO4 -9> In this was manifested the love of God toward
us,

{because} that God sent his only begotten Son into the world,
that

we might live through him.

because <1JO4 -13> Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in

us, {because} he hath given us of his Spirit.

because <1JO4 -17> Herein is our love made perfect, that we may
have

boldness in the day of judgment: {because} as he is, so are we in

this world.

because <1JO4 -18> There is no fear in love; but perfect love

casteth out fear: {because} fear hath torment. He that feareth is

not made perfect in love.

because <1JO4 -19> We love him, {because} he first loved us.

because <1JO5 -6> This is he that came by water and blood, even]

Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it
is

the Spirit that beareth witness, {because} the Spirit is truth.

because <1JO5 -10> He that believeth on the Son of God hath the

witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a
liar;

{because} he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

because <3JO1 -7> {Because} that for his name's sake they went

forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.

because These are murmurers, complainers, walking
after

their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words],

having men's persons in admiration {because} of advantage.

because Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye
shall

see him, and they also] which pierced him: and all kindreds of
the

earth shall wail {because} of him. Even so, Amen.

because Nevertheless I have somewhat] against thee,

{because} thou hast left thy first love.

because But I have a few things against thee,
{because}

thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught

Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to
eat

things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornicati

on.

because Notwithstanding I have a few things against
thee,

{because} thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth
herself a

prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit

fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

because {Because} thou hast kept the word of my
patience,

I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall
come

upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

because So then {because} thou art lukewarm, and
neither

cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

because {Because} thou sayest, I am rich, and
increased

with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou
art

wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

because And I wept much, {because} no man was found
worthy

to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

because And the name of the star is called Wormwood:
and

the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died
of

the waters, {because} they were made bitter.

because And they that dwell upon the earth shall
rejoice

over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another;

{because} these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the
earth.

because Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God

Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; {because} thou
hast

taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

because Therefore rejoice, ye] heavens, and ye that

dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea!

for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath,
{because}

he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

because And there followed another angel, saying,
Babylon

is fallen, is fallen, that great city, {because} she made all

nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

because And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou
art

righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, {because}
thou

hast judged thus.

because And blasphemed the God of heaven {because} of

their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

because And there fell upon men a great hail out of

heaven, every stone] about the weight of a talent: and men

blasphemed God {because} of the plague of the hail; for the
plague

thereof was exceeding great.
