rechab <2SA4 -2> And Saul's son had two men [that were] captains
of
bands: the name of the one [was] Baanah, and the name of the
other
{Rechab}, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of
Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin.
rechab <2SA4 -5> And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, {Rechab}
and
Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of
Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon.
rechab <2SA4 -6> And they came thither into the midst of the
house,
[as though] they would have fetched wheat; and they smote him
under
the fifth [rib]: and {Rechab} and Baanah his brother escaped.
rechab <2SA4 -9> And David answered {Rechab} and Baanah his
brother,
the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, [As] the
LORD
liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,
rechab <2KI10 -15> And when he was departed thence, he lighted on
Jehonadab the son of {Rechab} [coming] to meet him: and he
saluted
him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart [is] with
thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give
[me] thine hand. And he gave [him] his hand; and he took him up
to
him into the chariot.
rechab <2KI10 -23> And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of
{Rechab},
into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal,
Search, and look that there be here with you none of the
servants of
the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.
rechab <1CH2 -55> And the families of the scribes which dwelt at
Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, [and] Suchathites. These
[are] the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of
{Rechab}.
rechab But the dung gate repaired Malchiah the son of
{Rechab}, the ruler of part of Bethhaccerem; he built it, and
set up
the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof.
rechab But they said, We will drink no wine: for
Jonadab
the son of {Rechab} our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall
drink
no wine, [neither ye], nor your sons for ever:
rechab Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the
son
of {Rechab} our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink
no
wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters;
rechab The words of Jonadab the son of {Rechab},
that he
commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto
this
day they drink none, but obey their father's commandment:
notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and spea
king; but ye hearkened not unto me.
rechab Because the sons of Jonadab the son of
{Rechab}
have performed the commandment of their father, which he
commanded
them; but this people hath not hearkened unto me:
rechab Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the
God
of Israel; Jonadab the son of {Rechab} shall not want a man to
stand
before me for ever.
