Daily Devotional 1 Year Bible

  • LAM_2:17 The LORD hath done [that] which he had devised; he hath fulfilled his word that he had commanded in the days of old: he hath thrown down, and hath not pitied: and he hath caused [thine] enemy to rejoice over thee, he hath set up the horn of thine adversaries.

  • LAM_2:18 Their heart cried unto the Lord, O wall of the daughter of Zion, let tears run down like a river day and night: give thyself no rest; let not the apple of thine eye cease.

  • LAM_2:19 Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.

  • LAM_2:20 Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, [and] children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?

  • LAM_2:21 The young and the old lie on the ground in the streets: my virgins and my young men are fallen by the sword; thou hast slain [them] in the day of thine anger; thou hast killed, [and] not pitied.

  • LAM_2:22 Thou hast called as in a solemn day my terrors round about, so that in the day of the LORD'S anger none escaped nor remained: those that I have swaddled and brought up hath mine enemy consumed.

  • LAM_3:1 I [am] the man [that] hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.

  • LAM_3:2 He hath led me, and brought [me into] darkness, but not [into] light.

  • LAM_3:3 Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand [against me] all the day.

  • LAM_3:4 My flesh and my skin hath he made old: he hath broken my bones.

  • LAM_3:5 He hath builded against me, and compassed [me] with gall and travail.

  • LAM_3:6 He hath set me in dark places, as [they that be] dead of old.

  • LAM_3:7 He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy.

  • LAM_3:8 Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer.

  • LAM_3:9 He hath enclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.

  • LAM_3:10 He [was] unto me [as] a bear lying in wait, [and as] a lion in secret places.

  • LAM_3:11 He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces: he hath made me desolate.

  • LAM_3:12 He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.

  • LAM_3:13 He hath caused the arrows of his quiver to enter into my reins.

  • LAM_3:14 I was a derision to all my people; [and] their song all the day.

  • LAM_3:15 He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood.

  • LAM_3:16 He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes.

  • LAM_3:17 And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity.

  • LAM_3:18 And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD:

  • LAM_3:19 Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.

  • LAM_3:20 My soul hath [them] still in remembrance, and is humbled in me.

  • LAM_3:21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.

  • LAM_3:22 [It is of] the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

  • LAM_3:23 [They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness.

  • LAM_3:24 The LORD [is] my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

  • LAM_3:25 The LORD [is] good unto them that wait for him, to the soul [that] seeketh him.

  • LAM_3:26 [It is] good that [a man] should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

  • LAM_3:27 [It is] good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.

  • LAM_3:28 He sitteth alone and keepeth silence, because he hath borne [it] upon him.

  • LAM_3:29 He putteth his mouth in the dust; if so be there may be hope.

  • LAM_3:30 He giveth [his] cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.

  • LAM_3:31 For the Lord will not cast off for ever:

  • LAM_3:32 But though he cause grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitude of his mercies.

  • LAM_3:33 For he doth not afflict willingly nor grieve the children of men.

  • LAM_3:34 To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,

  • LAM_3:35 To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High,

  • LAM_3:36 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord approveth not.

  • LAM_3:37 Who [is] he [that] saith, and it cometh to pass, [when] the Lord commandeth [it] not?

  • LAM_3:38 Out of the mouth of the most High proceedeth not evil and good?

  • LAM_3:39 Wherefore doth a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

  • LAM_3:40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the LORD.

  • LAM_3:41 Let us lift up our heart with [our] hands unto God in the heavens.

  • LAM_3:42 We have transgressed and have rebelled: thou hast not pardoned.

  • LAM_3:43 Thou hast covered with anger, and persecuted us: thou hast slain, thou hast not pitied.

  • LAM_3:44 Thou hast covered thyself with a cloud, that [our] prayer should not pass through.

  • LAM_3:45 Thou hast made us [as] the offscouring and refuse in the midst of the people.

  • LAM_3:46 All our enemies have opened their mouths against us.

  • LAM_3:47 Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.

  • LAM_3:48 Mine eye runneth down with rivers of water for the destruction of the daughter of my people.

  • LAM_3:49 Mine eye trickleth down, and ceaseth not, without any intermission,

  • LAM_3:50 Till the LORD look down, and behold from heaven.

  • LAM_3:51 Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city.

  • LAM_3:52 Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause.

  • LAM_3:53 They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me.

  • LAM_3:54 Waters flowed over mine head; [then] I said, I am cut off.

  • LAM_3:55 I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon.

  • LAM_3:56 Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry.

  • LAM_3:57 Thou drewest near in the day [that] I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not.

  • LAM_3:58 O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.

  • LAM_3:59 O LORD, thou hast seen my wrong: judge thou my cause.

  • LAM_3:60 Thou hast seen all their vengeance [and] all their imaginations against me.

  • LAM_3:61 Thou hast heard their reproach, O LORD, [and] all their imaginations against me;

  • LAM_3:62 The lips of those that rose up against me, and their device against me all the day.

  • LAM_3:63 Behold their sitting down, and their rising up; I [am] their music.

  • LAM_3:64 Render unto them a recompense, O LORD, according to the work of their hands.

  • LAM_3:65 Give them sorrow of heart, thy curse unto them.

  • LAM_3:66 Persecute and destroy them in anger from under the heavens of the LORD.

  • LAM_4:1 How is the gold become dim! [how] is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street.

  • LAM_4:2 The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter!

  • LAM_4:3 Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people [is become] cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.

  • LAM_4:4 The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread, [and] no man breaketh [it] unto them.

  • LAM_4:5 They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills.

  • LAM_4:6 For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her.

  • LAM_4:7 Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing [was] of sapphire:

  • LAM_4:8 Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick.

  • LAM_4:9 [They that be] slain with the sword are better than [they that be] slain with hunger: for these pine away, stricken through for [want of] the fruits of the field.

  • LAM_4:10 The hands of the pitiful women have sodden their own children: they were their meat in the destruction of the daughter of my people.

  • LAM_4:11 The LORD hath accomplished his fury; he hath poured out his fierce anger, and hath kindled a fire in Zion, and it hath devoured the foundations thereof.

  • LAM_4:12 The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should have entered into the gates of Jerusalem.

  • TIT_1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly.

  • TIT_1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre;

  • TIT_1:8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;

  • TIT_1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers.

  • TIT_1:10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:

  • TIT_1:11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

  • TIT_1:12 One of themselves, [even] a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians [are] alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.

  • TIT_1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith;

  • TIT_1:14 Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

  • TIT_1:15 Unto the pure all things [are] pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving [is] nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

  • TIT_1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

  • TIT_2:1 But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

  • TIT_2:2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.

  • TIT_2:3 The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

  • TIT_2:4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

  • TIT_2:5 [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

  • TIT_2:6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.

  • TIT_2:7 In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine [shewing] uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,

  • TIT_2:8 Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.

  • TIT_2:9 [Exhort] servants to be obedient unto their own masters, [and] to please [them] well in all [things]; not answering again;

  • TIT_2:10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

  • TIT_2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

  • TIT_2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

  • TIT_2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

  • TIT_2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

  • TIT_2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

  • PSA_119:123 Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

  • PSA_119:124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.

  • PSA_119:125 I [am] thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies.

  • PSA_119:126 [It is] time for [thee], LORD, to work: [for] they have made void thy law.

  • PSA_119:127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

  • PRO_27:11 My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.

  • PRO_27:12 A prudent [man] foreseeth the evil, [and] hideth himself; [but] the simple pass on, [and] are punished.

  • JOHJ_10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

  • JOHJ_10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

  • JOHJ_10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.

  • JOHJ_10:29 My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father's hand.

  • JOHJ_10:30 I and [my] Father are one.

  • JOHJ_10:32 Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

  • JOHJ_10:34 Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
